Thank you for your replies, it’s a help to know that I am not the only person experiencing this issue. It is also helpful to know that the steps one would normally take in a situation such as this [clearing the cache, trying other browsers, removing & reinstalling browsers of choice] are exercises in futility… Has anyone attempted to change their DNS Server(s) to see if it might resolve the issue? [I am unable to do so, the TWC telephony modem won’t allow me to change the DNS Servers] Just wondering…
I’m having the issue where the main site [the forums are strangely unaffected, most likely due to them being maintained on a different server perhaps?] appears to have lost it’s formatting [as depicted in the attached screenshot]. I’m using Firefox [I NEVER use Internet Explorer & I gave up on Chrome because I noticed that it “calls home” entirely too much for my taste. Any suggestions? I mean is it just me or is this a site issue?
So we can compare please open a command prompt [for those on win 7 that don’t know how, go to the start menu > and type cmd in search] after it opens type the following:
cd \users [enter]
tracert www.guildwars2.com > tracerouteoutput.txt [enter]
after the command completes open the file and take a look and post the relevant listings, not the whole file as you don’t want anyone hacking your router/pc’s
in my file I found the following:

If you’re working on something internally that relates to Sept 9, why not make an announcement letting the players know that some may experience connection issues rather than allow us to keep scratching our collective heads while wondering WTF is going on with our game / connection… is it really so hard to be verbal & keep players well informed? IS that really asking too kitten much??

I’m experiencing this as well . When your client crashes, did the error message say Error Code=63:1001:9007:161:101?
Yes, I receive the same error message as well as frequent crashes / disconnects. I’ve only been playing since the game recently went on sale [right after an update none the less] so the only comparison I can make is from my former WoW days, and I can say with certainty & honesty, though they may have been d**** at times, the updates didn’t create any where near the havoc this GW2 update seems to be creating! I think a roll back is in order because someone seems to have coded something incorrectly…
