I’m going to try and explain to you guys why you have lag in T1 now, worse than ever.

I roughly estimate the cap per server for wvw is 300 people, that is 75 people per map on 4 maps. What has now happened is you have two servers at maximum capacity with SoR probably fielding 200 players. Also take into account that theres probably 100 people per server in a que waiting. So you have roughly 1100 people interacting with the server and at any given point while 1 person is trying to connect to 100 others (your own and enemy). This is a huge amount of traffic. Never before have the gw2 servers had to cope with that amount as you now have 2 servers that have stacked up more than HoD was in its prime.

You are going to have to wait until anet either upgrades the T1 servers or changes the cap. Have fun and good luck.

I’m so happy happy happy happy. First of all congrats BG you’re getting SoS’s best wvw guild in the form of MERC. I really hope more large wvw guilds transfer off to you guys. Always loved the name Blackgate, bring out the beast and wipe the floor with JQ for me, thank you. Maybe ATac, OnS, ZN, Tsym, Work, HL, ONE could pretty please follow you guys, as my ultimate dream is to end up in T6! yes!

I’m so sick of it, I’m sick of T1, I’m sick of JQs mentality, I’m sick of how broken everything really is. Are you guys not tired of how bad T1 has actually become? Can you not see how bored everyone is getting? Noones even posting on the forums anymore, we are all so bored, noone cares to fight for anything for that matter. I’m sick of even attempting to look for small scale fights as no matter what you do, how much you bow, wave etc.. attempt to get a duel or an even fight against JQ you will ALWAYS i mean ALWAYS end up outmanned 3to1 at least. If you somehow have found yourself in a fair fight, expect to get run over at the end of it. The word sportsmanship has been erased from a JQ’s vocabulary. I miss Blackgate and SBI they had some roamers that would wave and cheer and ENJOY the game with you and want to have a fun, fair, fight.
But I have a dream. A plea. A wish. Please for the love of competetive tiers. Something needs to happen. Ideally SoR and SoS merged and Kaineng and Blackgate merge so you end up with 3 stacked servers instead of 1. Then TC would get a break as well and have much better fights against servers like FA. I envy Borlis Pass, NSP and Anvil Rock so much and that’s what every tier should be like.
And this goes to all players in wvw: Please be more fair. If someone is duelling someone else, dont jump in, if a small op is fighting another, same thing, just watch it and walk away… I know this is probably impossible, but attempt to keep it fair for the good of the game and the fun factor. Ganking is and has never been good for a pvp community in all games.

To the JQ warrior from WAR guild that I just fought. Thank you, for 12weeks? I have been searching for an honorable match between a JQ and myself. I thought it impossible as I feel JQ had become more and more bitter over the weeks and I feel this unjust hatred towards SoS. I try to instigate duels in wvw a lot and a 2vMe turns into 5plusvMe so many times its not even funny. I think as soon as someone from JQ sees an SoS tag they see blood red. It was so uplifting to finally get an awesome duel. I apologise to use shadow refuge half way through, but my skillsetup was all for killing the camp rather than killing a person, so I used the failsafe to get out of reach and reset them to give you a proper go. Im so thankful that the rest of your WAR smallop team didnt interfere, they looked deadly. I must say you are one of the best warriors I’ve ever duelled, you almost had me. I salute you and all of War Hogz. Hope to duel you again sometime.

Hi, I believe im the Sexy Thief from SoS… i run with a pistol, theres only 1 other thief thats active in Sexy at the moment but he usually runs in a group and hes d/d.

If you see me running about, im always up for a good duel.

just wanted to say to the JQs defending EBG JP, that was fun just now… 5 of us killed what? 25-35 of you guys, even though in the end we couldnt stop the continuing flow of more and more of you guys via instant portals and easy access to the puzzle. You should be ashamed… shows why you need 5+ to gank on 1 person in wvw everywhere. Thanks for the 40 badges and loot.

would be nice to see a thief video show taking out 4 guildies or 3 smalloppers, just skilled people rather than upscalers and jp’ers etc… it started of well with the 2 thieves you killed though.

sorry not trying to down you, but you have a lot to improve on. Your timing with cnd is off and your skillchoice awkward. You shouldnt need shadow refuge (needs to be nerfed) or blinding powder but focus more on applying poisons to get your targets down faster. Also Daggerstorm is the worst elite to choose as a p/d condi, Thieves guild or even basilisk or reaper of grenth suit the build 10 times better. Again, use the condition damage to your advantage, not as a bystand.
Also, killing upscalers doesnt show the true quality of P/D.

Even the so glorified HB runs in 5s and when you die 5vs1 to them you get laughed at, what a joke… you cant even try to tickle a 1n1 out of that guild its a brainless aoe zerg. BG as a whole im thoroughly disappointed. What kind of a server gives up after 1 1/2 days. I really miss SBI, at least they had decent roamers that would bow and duel you and showed some respect.

I am pretty sure no HB´s have laughed at you. If you still stand by your statement, please let me see a screenshot.

Regarding the matchup, I still think its to early to call out who has what coverage. Alot of people on all servers pulled of mulitple shifts during the weekend. Give the matchup some time to settle.

I dont have a screenshot of it… was a 5 man HB group on SoS bl about an hour ago… I waved, I bowed and tried to instigate a duel, but they just layed down their cc and aoe and then one of them laughed.
I know you are a wvw guild, was just wanting to see how you guys do in duels, individual skill persay (looked like your pvp group), as there isnt much else to do right now. I am a thief, however there is no culling in small groupfights and I dont use Shadow Refuge (which needs to be nerfed). noob refuge be for noobs.

I am looking for a Warrior from CRNG or Carnage? from SBI server. Uses great sword… he played against me last night, about 9 hours ago. We fought each other a few times, it was 3 way fighting against some JQ. My Tag is Séxy i’m from SoS. He was the best warrior I’ve fought ever in over 3 months… would be great to chat and learn his skill setup.

LOLOLOL… Dear Malf, I personally have killed you on at least 3 different occasions 1v1 1v2, you and your pathetic backstab thief crew are absolute kittene pvpers… keep on spaming Steal/CnD/Backstab… everytime you try, you fail and get downed in less than 2 seconds… but hey, you’re good at shadowstepping into towers and killing NPC’s!!! I’ll make sure to give extra emphasis on killing DEVS players, see you around wormfeed. Watch out for my Séxy tag.

there is literally no guardian that has ever killed me in wvw… but I am one of their worst nightmares… a condition thief.
