Completely breaking content isn’t fixing it, no matter how you look at it. If they wanted people to get less from farming it then the loot reduction was enough. What they did, however, was make that route (as well as the first one) completely impossible for all but the most overgeared and organized groups and that isn’t balanced or good by any stretch of the imagination.

Breaking news! What was designed to be the most difficult content in the game (read: explorer mode dungeons) is actually difficult, and requires organization and skill. Who would have thought?!

Man, people are such babies. Do story mode if its too difficult for you, don’t cry about hard-mode being hard. Don’t forget that there are players out there who actually enjoy the type of extreme challenges that require organization and strategy/skill.

It should be common knowledge that PvE is the majority playerbase of most MMO, and I assume GW2 as well, and there have been a lot of issues they’ve needed to focus on with a higher priority to begin with. Once things settle down a bit, if they haven’t addressed a lot of the S/T-PvP issues, then I would start worrying. However, that little bit of grace period time is starting to reach its limits with a lot of people, so some info soon would definitely be good on what to expect.

I love pvp too, but please, let them do what they need to do to ensure the game survives long enough for PvP to matter.

If they continue to neglect the PvP community, the s/tPvP portion of the game, the portion that will “survive” the longest in the longrun, will not survive. People will get bored with GW2 lack of competitive PvP features in place (completely embarrassing what we got for a game that was touted as an “e-sport”) and they will migrate to other games with more competitive features and some if not many of these players won’t ever look back to GW2.

Also adding my “voice” in. What gives, ArenaNet? Starting to think you guys were just driving up the pre-release hype train by constantly throwing out the “e-sports” buzz word.
