I respect that and no worries there. I already stated that I mistaken you with another engineer because both of you joined just recently and unless I PM’d you both, you guys wouldn’t respond in the guild chat. Maybe you missed it because you weren’t repping, who knows. I am going to assume the miscommunication and accidentally mistaking you with the other player, that you won’t be rejoining, which is completely fine – I personally would be pretty upset. I hope that this incident is clarified at least and I wish the best of your decision.
If it’s a miscommunication, that’s fine, it happens.
I’ll be around IG if you want to discuss it further in a less public forum. At this point, as you can imagine, I’m still lacking a raiding group.
It’s not the raid I’m not serious about. It’s that I have other friends I play GW with too, and would feel dishonest excluding them for a core team of raiders – not that it isn’t an unreasonable request for raids.
As for the time, yeah, I forgot. Once. In my defense though, you had two different starting times marked down depending on the day. It was only after you answered that I noticed the times linked in the MoTD, all the way at the bottom.
Joined the guild. Linked full ascended gear. Answered a few simple questions related to proper management of my class. Showed up 10 minutes early for raid. Find out I’ve been removed from the guild, and blocked with no explanation. Fun stuff.
It isn’t. I’ve got the same problem, and I’ve tried logging on multiple characters. No success.
Where do you keep your SweetFX files; don’t they need to go in your bin folder for the autologin to work? Or is that only GemFX?
Mine are a bit messed up. A while ago GW did an update that messed with SweetFX so that some of the files had to be placed into the bin folder. But instead of cutting them, I copied them. So I’ve got the SweetFX files in both the root gw2 directory and the bin folder. Kinda lazy of me not to figure out what ones I can delete.
If you skip the launcher with command line switches you can get the game to launch even with sweetfx d3d9.dll in the bin folder and retain sweetfx functionality
-autologin -nopatchui -email YOUREMAILHERE -password YOURPASSWORDHERE
That’s what I mean. I have, well.. actually 2 copies of d3d9.dll in my GW2 directory. One in the root, and one in the bin folder.
But SweetFX stops working if I use the command to log into GW2. I assume the command is placed in your GW2 shortcut’s Target line? So like…
Target: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -autologin -nopatchui etc…?
Okay, so using the ‘click on invisible log in’ button works, and I retain my SweetFX.
Using the auto log in command also works, but SweetFX stops working.
Ideas?
So nine months ago someone made a post titled “No Penalty for Leave/Akitten tournament?” to which he took a screen-shot of the players akitteng on his team. CC Eva scolded him about about the conduct of posting character names to the forums and said just report them through the IG system.
Well, there is no IG system for reporting players for akitteng in tournaments. So until there is, I’ll be using ‘botting’, it seems closely enough appropriate, as they stand to gain profit through akitteng. Figured you GMs should know, just in case you see an influx of reports claiming botters.
PS, why in the world would you implement a post submission auto-correct?
Akitten = Away From Keyboard
