Ugh. So silly. The norn aren’t just dumb giants, there are people among them who are wiser than any charr, human, sylvari or asura (intelligence and wisdom are not the same) you will find. Norn culture doesn’t solely consist of drinking and bashing heads in, it is also a culture of mysticism and philosophy.
Abolish norn stereotypes!
I agree. Where is the grit? Where is the character? I need more LOTR influence and less sparkly high school movie stuff in my games.
I actually like the current “ending” better than your cliché hit-the-dragons’-toes-(or chest, or head, what ever)-until-it’s-dead-scenario, even though the mechanics are quite bland right now. The thing is, I couldn’t care less about game mechanics when I’m about to witness the fall of a frickin’ Elder Dragon while standing on an airship flying over Arah, but that’s probably just the lore nerd in me.
Edit: What I mean is that the current ending feels more realistic and is way better storywise.
I haven’t played through Arah yet so I don’t know what ever might be revealed there but as far as I know people are giving the mursaat a bad rep.
The mursaat were never inherently evil, they didn’t “enslave” humans at all. The only bad thing they did was kill a couple of humans, but if you look at it from a grander scope, they did it to save their entire race and with it all the races of Tyria. You see, if the entirety of the titan horde were to be unleashed upon Tyria, all of your precious humans, and dwarves, charr, norn, grawl, tengu and what you will, would have been massacred. The mursaat did what they did for the greater good. They guarded the Door of Komalie with their lives, they carried that burden. Show some respect.
