BUMP because this has bugged for over 2 weeks and effects one of the most important/most used trait for elementalist.

When an elementalist is in combat and has the trait evasive arcana on they are unable to precast skills during dodge rolls. When you cast a skill while dodging it should do the attack right when the dodge is over without having to cast it again, but instead when you come out of the dodge roll nothing happens. Instead the dodge animation has to be completely over before you can cast, which can really screw up timing. For example go into combat, then dodge, during dodge cast any skill (ride the lighting, drakes breath, burning speed, etc.), and when you come out of the dodge it will not do the skill you hit while dodging. Meanwhile if you do what I listed above with an ele in combat without the trait evasive arcana selected it will work like normal. Also if you have the trait evasive arcana on while outside of combat it will work like normal too.

This is a really random bug that almost nobody noticed until I pointed it out to them, and it’s been like this for over a week so I hope this gets fixed really soon, please.

Well after this happened to my asura ele i then tried it on my human ele which had the same negative results…BUT then i tried it on my Norn ele (yes i have a lot of eles) who unlike my other two eles who are d/d is a fresh air build, and I didn’t have the problem. From there I figured out it must have something to do with the traits and after some testing I found out the issue was due to EVASIVE ARCANA.

So Evasive arcana is broken and needs to be fixed pleaseeeeeeee

Is is a specific skill Klaus, or just any skill? I’m not entirely sure what you mean by precasting during a dodge, from what I’ve tested ele seems to be the same as the other professions with respect to casting a skill after a dodge.

Not casting after dodge, casting while dodging and it’s any skill.

ya but seriously one profession out of all them that can’t do something basic is kind of a big deal…I do a lot of precasting during my dodges with drakes breath and cone of cold, which I can’t do now. Also since the dodge has to be 100% over and you cant cast a split second early using skills like burning speed and any other results in having to mash the same button multiple times which screws up timing bad…so yeahhh pls fix that.

Okay this might be a little hard to explain but I’ll do my best. When in combat as an elementalist while dodging and casting a skill during the dodge, coming out of the dodge it doesn’t do the attack. Instead you need to be completely done with the dodge roll before casting which is screwing up my timing. When out of combat it works fine and when i dodge and hit a skill during the dodge it cast the skill right when the roll is over without me having to hit the skill after the dodge roll.

I tired this while in combat with every profession and it seems to be that elementalist are the only ones that this happens to, and every other class is able to cast while dodging. I first noticed this on Thursday when I was dueling in OS and when I should of been using drakes breath or cone of cold I was just standing there like an idiot auto attacking. I’ve been playing ele for a long time so I’m pretty sure I would of noticed this before now.

Since the patch I have been experiencing audio bugs with my elementalist. It’s a crackling sound that usually happens when attuning or going into combat with air (and no not the normal air sound effect), and when attuning out of air. This crackling noise also happens when using shocking aura. This noise is very unpleasant to listen to.

Just transferred to the Dragonbrand sever and I’m looking to start a new guild from scratch of experienced PVPers where are focus will be WVW roaming, dueling, and small team GVGs. During our raids I will be looking to run with just around 5-8 people where looking for fights will be our only objective. Being able to fight and win in outnumbered situations is a must to be part of this guild. Once I have established a solid core I will be looking to set up small team GVGs where we will fight in 3v3, 5v5, and 7v7’s (etc.) against opposing guilds.

About me:
I’m a d/d elementalist who has been primarily a solo roamer for the Bloodytech [Tech] guild. I’ve played in many different servers (most recently Maguuma) in both EU and NA, and have decided it’s time to settle down and make a guild here (and stop spending so many gems on transfers -_-). I have a hardcore mindset when I play but I’m extremely chill, never rage, and will never put down a guildie and make them feel bad. Afterwards I might give constructive criticism and I would expect the same from you. I play a lot and at all different hours so once we have a core group we will establish scheduled raid times. I will be recording all our stuff and be posting some of the material to my youtube page. I also have a custom arena where we can practice in and work on our team mechanics.

Hello, I’m Klaus aka ‘Klaus The Lad’ and I’m a solo roamer d/d elementalist for the Bloodytech [Tech] guild. For the last year I’ve spent all my time solo roaming and dueling and feel like it’s time for a change and would like to get into GvG’s. If you wish for me to join your guild I would be looking to be the primary d/d ele in the focus party. I’d be willing to join any gvg Guild regardless of their experience level, even if they are new and just getting into it, as long as they are committed to improving. I have teamspeak and a mic, and I’m able to record are gameplay. Though I have played in EU for most of my time I am currently in NA and would prefer to stay in NA due to the time I can play, but I wouldn’t rule out anything.
