reading the answers so far, I’m not seeing any reasons they should be seperate, just people repeating the statement that they are seperate.

I agree spvp cant and shouldnt get progress from pve, wvw, and spvp. But why cant pve and wvw get progress from spvp? Thats what i mean be a lack of progress. Right now, spvp gives no progress at all, but it could at least give progress outside of spvp.

Stating that they are seperate games is not an answer, because that’s the problem. they dont have to be seperate games entirely, sPvP matches just have to be even.

The main downside of sPvP right now is that it gives no real progress for your char. ooh, titles and cosmetic items… that doesnt feel like progress. Also, if I want to spend 90% of my time in sPvP, that just means it has to be 100% because I’ll never be competitive in WvW. It could though, and without affecting sPvP balance.

Why not let sPvP give non-cosmetic rewards that are useable elsewhere?

I understand why WvW and PvE rewards should not be useable in sPvP (want to keep it fair), but I dont see any reason that participating in sPvP shouldnt progress my char outside of sPvP
