Any thoughts on the confusion nerf from people who run the TK-Pistol-Bomb combo? Will you stay with the build or move to something else?
Roaming 1v1 I don’t feel as bad when I get the jump on a GC, I’m okay with it so far, it was pretty OP against people who were GC’s or didn’t pay attention to their conditions.
In bigger fights the confusion bomb doesn’t seem worth it to drop in the middle of a fight. Before I would try to duck in and out while dropping confusion bombs, but now with the reduced damage the risk doesn’t seem worth it.

That’s T2 shoulders, which look better than T3 would IMO. Cool outfit I like those Peacemaker pistols (also name reminds of a Colt Peacemaker which is awesome). I appreciate a good mix up of different armor sets to make a unique look.
Oh right T2 shoulders! Got that mixed up sorry

That doesn’t seem right. With the mac beta client on my 15" MBPr, 1680×1050 (fullscreen) all settings on medium I’m getting 60-70fps right now, in Rata Sum. However, I did the SMC reset a few days ago.
I prefer to run GW2 on Bootcamp when I WvWvW for that extra fps, and one solution to the disk space problem is to run the Windows Bootcamp partition from an external thunderbolt drive. I bought an SSD and the Seagate STAE128 Thunderbolt Adapter and have Windows running off that. With Thunderbolt I get the same speeds as my internal SSD.

I just want to share my experience with this topic.
I’ve been playing since launch on bootcamp then later on the mac beta client and sometimes I’ll go back to bootcamp. When I first started playing I was able to play at 1680×1050 resolution with everything on Medium and get 60-80fps in PVE and 30-60fps in WvWvW. Slowly my performance started dropping and I didn’t really notice it until I loaded GW2 up on my spare 17" Mackbook Pro i7/Radeon GPU and it ran 100x better than my Retina. I didn’t think too much about the FPS drop because I was doing so much WvWvW that I figured it was due to the zerginess. Noticeable fps drop happened when I was in large fights and when there were a lot of visual effects happening, like spells. To the point where I had to drop every setting to low/none and I still would get down to 10fps.
I did the SMC reset just now and tested the mac client and the regular client in bootcamp. The performance increase was incredible, right back to what it was before when I first installed the game. I was just about to purchase a new PC to continue playing this game but I think I might be able to hold off for a bit longer(I want to stream in the future). So I urge everyone to really try the SMC reset, even if you “think” your performance is still acceptable, you’ll be surprised when you see the difference.
Question, does anyone actually know why the SMC reset fixes the performance problems? I’m trying to figure it out but I can only find the documentation Apple provides and it doesn’t specifically say anything about performance, just temperature, fans, and sleep stuff.
