Guild Wars 2

I started up the game this evening, downloaded the update, logged in and launched the game and got an error message. Not sure what it was because I figured a restart would help the issue and I’ve done a lot of copy/pasting since then.

After restart, I can log into the client and when I launch the game my desktop freezes and my mouse can’t move below my task bar. I can still hit the windows key to bring up my start menu and ctrl+alt+del. Already tried deleting my local data folder.

Have always used the 64 bit client, running on Windows 7, last time I successfully played was last night at about 11pm EST.

Edit: Found the code in my google searches from the crash before restart – Exception: c000001d

I like fractals with a dedicated group, working on achievements, general PvE meta events and bosses and WvW zergs. I’ve tried PvP in the past but it really isn’t my thing.

I play in the evenings around server reset, pretty much every day.

I get this message when I enter my phone number into the field. I use google voice and can receive SMS through hangouts, including shortcode. Are google voice numbers unsupported?

Usually on a lvl 80 Necro. I generally play evenings/nights EST (-5 GMT)

I generally do solo PvE stuff, which causes some faux paus to crop up doing Living World events with others and I’d like to fix that. Would also like to get into dungeons and going strong with some PvP and WvW. I have been playing more lately and definitely want to try more aspects of the game. I really feel like a troglodyte next to players in full lvl 3 cultural when I’ve had my account for over a year!
