Give me a shout in game. Looking for a PvP guild to roll with in HoTM —- The trolls have me cornered and I need a team!
I sent you a message ingame!
Engineers that stay at max range and just throw grenades while everyone else is melee. Especially the ones that have the audacity to just sit there an strafe without attempting to res anyone if needed…. Oh wait… That goes for every class and build. So hard to just pick one
I thought Rising clearly stated it was his “goal” to bring his findings back to Anet in hopes of starting a CDI…. Not that he was going to actually do it. I’m totally all for clarification for the sake of stupid people, I just don’t understand why Gaile had to spell it out quite as she did…. shrugs those kitten buzzwords….. Pfffft.
Going in line with the thread though; I personally think there is a call for MANY improvements to Fractals, both with rewards and the actual content. I’m excited to see where this thread goes!

I have 3 guildmates that pull precursors like crazy. One in particular has managed to pull 25 precursors from the forge in the span of less than 2 months. Now, he has always had incredible luck in the game, but it’s just insane that he can pull them at this rate. We have all seen the screenshots, hell I think he has even taken to posting them on FB as well… It’s all legit. How does he do it?
400-500g in Exotic level 80 weapons… and he just keeps rolling and rolling.
When you consider how much he has tossed into the forge, it’s completely possible. I however, have only ever managed to pull 2 precursors from that blasted forge, and they were both a year apart from one another and with dungeon weapons.
I dont care about any of this farming method crap. If you make him a non-kitten block fight….
You don’t have to rely on blocks. You can dodge all his attacks, save for the phase 2 AoE. That unfortunately does require either an evade, block, reflect, or simply gtfo the way real quick. True, you have to work on the timing, and if you are going for all melee it will definitely cause him to teleport – but it’s all still certainly doable. You just have to find a good group to show you the ropes or watch whatever videos you can get your hands on. You can do it!
Thank you! I knew something just wasn’t right…..
I received the following in game mail this morning….

Has anyone ever seen this message before? While I did send/transfer gold to someone last night, I find it very difficult to actually take heed to this message for the following reasons.
First, the mail instructs me to click a link to validate account, yet we all know you cannot simply click a link in game. If this message is in fact coming from a representative of GW2, it’s just absurd to instruct a player to perform an action that clearly cannot be done.
Secondly, GW2 has conveniently placed a notice in their in game mail system alerting you when a message is sent by another player and not the GW2 Team. So once again, I must ask why anyone would take heed to such a message when it clearly states it isn’t from the GW2 Team but from another player.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated because I am just confused as all get out.

Wait. Are we talking about the repeatable, infinite, achievement that is completely optional or the needed one for the Wintersday completion. Because if this thread is to complain about the optional one, because you want the points, there’s a reason it’s not a walk in the park.
This is about the one that is required for Wintersday Completion – “Ringing the Right Notes”
ShinjoNaomi.1896: How people find this Bell Choir mini-game so difficult is beyond me. Hit the corresponding button when the light is in the blue circle… So hard. So impossible.
It is when you literally only have one hand to play with. It is quite easy to accomplish every other feat in this game with ease using a gaming mouse….. Throwing an achievement into the meta that requires two hands and absolute coordination…. Yeah – Unfortunately it is an impossible feat.
Your point is moot. Last year, they were required.
Last year achievements did not require you to complete the Bell Choir in order to achieve Wintersday Completion. I am sure of this because I am looking at the historical log in the Hero Panel.
The point of all this is, they really should have considered throwing in another “optional” achievement in order to achieve Wintersday Completion. Instead, they have made it impossible to get completion for anyone who is literally unable or doesn’t wish to spend hours in the choir.
I am not sure you are here by mistake.
This is the forum from Guild Wars 2.

Are we seriously doing this yet again? This is becoming a near every day thing. It’s like who needs “The Young and the Restless” anymore, when you can find “As the Holy Trinity Turns” on the GW2 Forums.
From Day 1, they said were moving away from the Trinity. Talking it to death, comparing it to communism (which makes absolutely no sense what so ever,) and constantly carrying on how they are losing players because of it will not change a thing. Make your peace with it. You can choose to continue playing GW2 the way it currently is and look forward to the changes to come or GTFO.
What is the point of investing your time and energy into a game if you aren’t enjoying yourself and have nothing but grievances about it? I’m really not trying to be harsh here, but come on, there’s a difference between pointing out what would make the game more enjoyable and being obviously so discontented with it. It’s quite clear that we passed that distinction multiple threads ago.
OP does have a valid point no matter how you wish to spin it. The folks that respond with, “You should have done….blahblahblahblah…before…blahblahblah….” will eventually, or rather hopefully learn at some point later in their lives, that being high handed isn’t conducive to any situation.
It doesn’t matter if the warning is clearly published on Wiki. The GW2 Wiki is ran by IGN, which isn’t a partner or product of ArenaNet. GuildWars 2 wasn’t designed to require an out-of-game source in order to operate without making a series of disastrous moves. It’s nearly the same concept as buying a game from a store, only to find out later that the instructions weren’t included and that you must have a secondary game in order operate the original. ALL details relevant to server transfers, which should have included information pertaining to guilds (this is GUILD wars,) should have been made clear on the in game material and not elsewhere. It’s that simple. People get sued for lesser disclosures than this in RL.
Yeah, being snatched up and ported across the dungeon is extremely frustrating, but unfortunately, it’s just another challenge of Arah and definitely not a bug… Not that I’m a fan of it lol. It makes it incredibly hard for low DPS groups to accomplish unless you have one hell of a tank in the group that can kite those elite mobs, but it’s certainly not impossible and can be done. Once you have all phased, that’s when the clock starts ticking. You have a limited amount of time to DPS her down before the mobs spawn and come to attack the terminal. So, it’s just as Xinrut said above…. You either get as much power as you can, stack, and get her down as quickly as you can… or you have your best kiter run those bad boys away from that terminal until she is dead.
They disabled that WP during a patch sometime ago. Now, it will only spawn once you have successfully killed the Berserker Abomination boss, which renders that particular WP completely and utterly useless. Why did they do it? Who knows. Maybe it was to deter folks from skipping parts of the dungeon and using exploits, maybe it was for their own kittens and giggles. Either way, it’s gone forever and it will not be returning.
Edit: Oooo, and so you aren’t just left with a problem and no solution…. To avoid the entire party wiping at that part, here are few tips. Do not try to run past the turret that is located where the WP use to spawn. It’s just a disaster. Instead, before getting to that point, try looking to your left while you make your run through the spiders. You will see an opening in the wall that you can easily jump up to and go through. It is not an exploit, but an intentional design. Also, try doing the run spaced out, one person at a time with speed boosts if you can’t get through it together as a group. It helps.

This fight is indeed impossible.
I thought so at first as well…. But now it’s a piece of cake. Try standing at range instead of stacking and going full melee. When you are at range, you will be able to see when the pull is about to happen. As soon as the spin animation starts, immediately dodge back and you will avoid the pull. Keep reflects going at all times and directly on Alphard if you aren’t a pro at evading attacks and you should be just fine. Either way works like a charm.
I can’t believe thatyou missed the link. The Alphard duo was done naked on purpose.
LMAO. Yep, I sure did.
