They currently have to deal with probably thousands of tickets regarding gem refunds after the feature patch.
Yeah but don’t they have different groups of tech support dealing with different things? Are all the people in support just fixing the gem refunds??
Basically I wrote a simple ticket asking if they can reset the guild creation limit for me just this once- which shouldn’t be too hard to do. I made a couple mistakes in making my own guild but got my act together and knew what I was going to do on the 3rd and final one.
But I couldn’t do it since the limit is 2 guilds per week. I didn’t know that, to be honest. So I sent a ticket since I’m so excited to create my own guild lol. Simple request, really. Plus, it’s my first request to gw2 support.
But they messed up.
“Thanks for contacting us! Your request … has been received, and is being reviewed by our Support team”
ok then. I’ll forgive you. For now.

The delay may have been related to high ticket volume, or it’s possible that the issue you wrote about is complex and has taken extra time to research. It really takes that long to review something as simple as resetting my own guild creation? It’s already been 4-5 days and my guild creation limit is probably going to reset before they even get to my ticket. I thought they would respond within a couple days since it’s just a limit problem.
So the what was the point of my ticket!? Horrible first-time experience that makes me wonder if all tickets have delayed/late responses. At least it’s better than nexon though.

This #@$#ing sucks. The lag is so unbearable that I just can’t play this godkitten game right now.
It was fine around 5-8 days ago. But a few days before the patch to this point in time, this game is just unplayable. I lag every 4 seconds.
Fix this crap so i can play gw2.
Edit- lol… They censored one of my words with “godkitten”. sigh. Can’t really blame them, though. Interestingly, they didn’t censor “crap” LOL.

Hi, everyone. Just bought guild wars 2 today from fry’s electronics. When I came back home I put in the discs, registered an account and started to download the updates.
Let me start off by saying that I was… scared… when I saw the amount of files I needed to download.

Anyway, whenever the launcher tries to update GW2, within the first 20 seconds it goes from 150 KB/s to 0.0 KB/s. Sometimes it goes back up and sometimes it just stays that way. However it always goes from ~150 KB/s to ~0-10 KB/s and sometimes back up again. Thus, the game doesn’t update at all or it is just painfully slow.
I’ve never had this sort of problem with any other game I play. My internet speed is kinda bad, but something like this where the speed goes down to 0 KB/s and hardly ever goes back up… it’s never happened to me before.
Any tips on what I should do? Any help is appreciated

Edit – I left the laptop on the whole night and managed to download 2.1 GB- although it still downloaded only 9% of all the files. It still goes down to 0 KB/s from time to time. Looks like I’ll need to dl from some wifi hotspot or something. Either that or I’ll have to wait ~7-9 days as I dl every day -__-
