Just gonna bump this.
Hello everybody!
I picked up the game around 2 months ago and after leveling two characters to level 80 and I am now looking for a guild. Usually when I join a new MMO (there have been a lot of those, believe you me!^^) I try to observe my realms guilds. Check out behaviour, friendliness or the kind of progression I am looking for. However for this game I have absolutely no clue whatsoever as to which guild fits my style nor what there is to take into consideration. So this time I am going to do it a little bit differently and plain out right tell everyone who is willing to enjoiy a good old wall of text who I am.
My real name has to remain a secret for now (at least till I join a new band of brothers!) but I am willing to tell you a few things about my personality before jumping to my ingame account!
I am 27 years old, married and I work for a university in Germany. I recently graduated in English and philosophy suma kitten laude and enjoy a good conversation. My interests mainly focus on literature, theatre, musics, soccer, video gaming and of course having fun. I am quite a talker (as indicated by this tremendous wall of text) and tend to be rather a funny guy to be around with. Ocassionally you’d hear me talk to my wife (lovely American woman I met during my 2nd semester of studies) or my cat.
When it comes to gaming I am just as passionate and focused as with everything else in my life. I have to be the best at what I do, or at least give it my best. I am willing to put enormous amount of time into this game and have already done my fair share of researching basic information about the game, as well as having read a guide or two.
My thief’s name is Jaqen Myr. I also have a level 80 ranger but I actually grew quite tired of him. A thief’s life is just so much more rewarding.
Currently I own a full set of berserker gear + jewelry, as well as an ascendent neckpiece. As for my runes I run fire + force on my D/D and rune of the wurm for my armor. I am not sure if I will “be running this setup for the rest of my time”, but for now it does the deed. Divinity runes are just so darn expensive.
As for my crafting skills I have mastered to a full 400 points:

artificer
I am currently in the process of revealing the rest of the map I am so keen to explore, tend to my daily sPvP needs and try to fight for our realm’s glory! I would also love to finally explore all the dungeons this game has to offer.
I would be psyched if a nice and helpful guild would want to welcome a new player to their round!

I don’t have such a trait equipped. The only different choice I made was to check the option for “fast ground targetting” and ever since then I can not place my AOE skills anymore. They are always automatically casted at the bottom of my character.

I have some sort of a technical issue and I am not quite sure if I am too dumb to figure it out or if my game is actually bugging out on me.
I tried the "fast cast on ground targeting " feature out and now it is impossible for me to switch back to the old style where it was possible to see your aoe and place it anywhere you wanted to. It doesn’t matter if I uncheck/check the box next to “fast-cast ground targeting” in the options. No matter what, I can only lay my traps directy under my character.
It seems quite buggy to me. I should be able to switch all of this back to the old style (gettting the nice big green aoe indicator and then place my skill), but it just won’t work.
Any ideas? I already contacted support several days ago, but as luck has it no one ever replied it.
