Can’t say I’m a fan of the timer. Stronghold needs to be able to let a match play out to it’s entirety. Additionally, I gotta know how many resource points I have on me. Sometimes I get side tracked from a battle and forget if I have one or two resources available so I’ll either have to double back to and from the spawning gate.
I agree, my first goal in PVP was to earn Glorious Armor, which I wear all the time now. Then it was earning achivement titles like Slayer.
This my first post, and I guess this is a question to the general PVP community, but what features would you like to see in the Structured PVP portion of Guild Wars 2? I’ve recently gotten invested in spvp portion of the game, and I’m enjoying it a lot. I started with my Guardian main, learned the meta, and built three additional characters for variety. I have to say, the experience of playing is pretty rewarding.
As far as my general question to everyone, I could start off first. I’d like to see some really cool in game tracking of MMR rankBefore the recent ladder ended, I was enjoying my name rise on the leaderboard, as I climbed higher and higher playing ranked games. In games like League, your rank was promptly on display, and you could work on improving your rank a little each day.
I know players are asking for things like build templates, (Which would be cool.) But what else could we really ask for that could be implemented in the latest expansion pack?
Actually it wasn’t my dual monitor set up. I disconnected it because I was having problems shortly after installing it. After a system rebuild (which did nothing) and disconnecting the monitor (which did nothing) I swapped my wireless adapter (a pci wireless card) with a usb wireless adapter. For some reason, this was my solution. I know someone else did this also, which is where I got the idea. So it certainly has something to do with the network card, or some kind of configuration with the network. What it is or was, I’ll never know. I want to see if the issue still takes place if I put the pci wireless card back in, but I’m too lazy to open up my rig again. Good luck out there.
I think I found the problem. How many of you have dual monitor setups?!
Reinstalling the operating system didn’t work. I don’t know what to do. My friend brought his laptop over to test the network and he was able to get on. I was able to log in and use my charater. I’m just getting kicked out now.
I opened a support ticket, and the guy told me that it’s my ISP’s fault. I asked my friend to come over with his laptop to connect to my network and low and behold, I was able to play. My account worked on other PC’s and my games all ran fine, but the support ticket guy kept telling me I was losing packets before reaching the ArenaNet severs over some ping plotter results. I just finished wiping my Windows 7 install and currently downloading/installing the game. I’ll let you know tomorrow if it’s working.
None of the offered solutions work. I’m gonna reinstall my operating system. I’ll tell ya how it goes. As a side note, while Guild Wars 2 is one, during it’s lagged state. Online comes to a halt. In fact, at one point, I lost connection with the internet and had to close the game, thus enabling the internet again.
I also notice, that when I’m streaming something, it seems to keep the signal alive for some reason. Initially, I put the game in Other than that, I’ve been having the same problem for a few days now. From lvls 1 – 37, I have not had a problem. Now I can’t even play the game.
