Haha. Last thing I would do as a Dev is talk to the players around here. If twitch chat is anything to go by, I’d rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon then go through that willingly.
I really hope this is not the mentality the devs go by, some people go overboard, but before everything went downhill, you’d see very good feedback and very genuine wonder about ANet’s design philosophies in this forum and each classes’.
Did you look at the link I posted? That forum is regarded as the most immature, troll-driven place in the gaming community, yet it was a great opportunity for Riot devs give insight about what their design choices, the mistakes they made, etc. And this is something they do on a regular basis. This is how you create a loyal playerbase, and this is why LoL is the most popular game in the world, co-mu-ni-ca-tion.
This particular dev even says that taking community feedback is probably not a good idea
If this is about balance, then I’d say it can be very dangerous to rely too heavily on community eception/feedback to shape balance decisions, but it’s hard not to give it too much weight, because I have very little else other than internal data to go off.
But at least he’s upfront about it.

It seems like ANet’s devs and the community are so disconnected, I don’t know if it’s arrogance or fear in their part, but I would really appreciate something like this with our own balance devs.
Not only is it incredibly hard to take down a bunker nowadays, they’re also rezzed almost immediately and there’s abosolutely nothing you can do about it due to mesmer wells.
This is straight up boring. Whoever came up with this crap needs to get fired.
Like… way more.
Actually here’s an idea, how about a debuff (not a condition) that decreases healing effects and you can add it to a sigil or a rune, or, you know, every single skill in the game, that’s fine too.
Hello first time poster here.
Bots can get 10 gifts every minute and a half with teleport hacks and leave it botting all day long, this nets huge amounts of cash (up to 900g a day) and even more if they save it and sell it after the event is over.
Is anything being done about this? I’m reporting them as I see them but they keep coming back, what’s stopping them from sending the rewards to secondary accounts before they get caught?
Thanks for your time.
