if i might ask what exactly are you having problems with? i use a shortbow/longbow weapon swap sets, and i can consistently take down group events on my own (granted it will take a good bit of time) but i can take the hits, my pet actively attacks and protects me without me prompting it to do so. and with the search and revive downed allies ability it is a huge help to others. longbows do damage from far away, and have nasty AOE abilities, while the short bow is good for throwing poison and diverting projectiles with slowing the enemies down. but you are a RANGER my man. your not supposed to be up close to the action. we aren’t made to be in the front were the back of the pack raining down to assist the heavy hitters. one on one in close combat your going to lose. thats just common sense, it can be frustrating but being a ranger is more of a strategic class, not a run in sword swinging class. best of luck to you, and happy hunting.
