Same issue with my fiance. He received an email from ArenaNet saying that his Game Account email was changed, even though he had not put in a request to change it. He tried to log in to the game and could not gain access, receiving the same error message as your friend: “Email not associated with an account”

We sent in 2 tickets and have not heard back from either one.

This game is fantastic, but we’ve played 8 MMOs in the past and this is the first time that something like this has happened to either of us. He did not click on any phishing links, he did not travel to any shady websites, and he did not give his account info to anyone but ArenaNet — It SHOULD NOT be this easy for hackers to get what they want. This is a MAJOR ISSUE, and needs to be resolved before hacked players, like my fiance, start to lose patience.
