I created my character immediately (during 3-day headstart right when the servers came online) to save the name and then deleted shortly after that to create my character the way I wanted. I didn’t even start the game with my character so I didn’t look at my mail.

UPDATE: I was going to re-do some of my other characters last night since I knew what I wanted them to be but I decided to check and see if any of them had important mail before I deleted. It was the first character I logged into last night, but it had a mail including the mini Rytlock, tome and chalice. I know it didn’t have that before because I had checked all of my characters for my digital items when I realized it was missing. So maybe anet is now putting them on the first character you log into? Everyone might want to check their mail =) Thank you anet for fixing it!

I don’t remember the warning specifying anything about Rytlock or my other 1 time items being deleted, but it could also be because I was so excited about playing =D I put in a bug ticket intitially as I thought it was a bug and I knew support was bogged down with other issues. I guess I should go put in a support ticket now. Thanks for the thread!
