Hopefully they will fix it in a daily patch, and not let it fall into their category of seemingly little bugs to fix on a rainy day.

That list probably won’t get done until the gaping bugs are fixed.

It’s true they have started on our Time Warp.

I feel like there is a secret mesmer-loathing group out there that is organizing synchronized complaining of our skills, thereby forcing the devs to feel the community must want each nerf.

It’s lame and discouraging. I’ve recently started using way off mainstream skills in PvP in order to get some semblance of security for keeping a build for more than two weeks before it’s nerfed into the ground.

I don’t know the issue or the bug.

Since we have a cap of 3 illusions do you mean the scaling issue has to do with what happens when you spawn clones at the same time as a shatter? Does this somehow give you more clones to scale up their damage for an instant?

So over the past month or two I’ve been getting more into sPvP where skills, traits and builds are pretty different than my PvE build.

After the last patch I decided to try out our new Shattered Strength since this forum was buzzing about it.

I have to say, it’s nice, BUT I don’t feel like I’ve gotten such a huge boost in over all power, as some people on the sPvP forum would have you believe. I just started reading threads in sPvP so I don’t know if people were crying OP before about mesmers. I want to hear the opinions of my fellow mesmers. Comment if you play a mesmer regularly. I didn’t start this thread to hear whining from other classes about how much stronger they think we are now. I would like to hear what the mesmers have noticed about their buff.

A few people are like OMG 25 stacks of might all the time. I don’t know about you guys but getting a huge might stack like that takes a ton of individual skills and actions. If I do get up to 24/25, 6 or so of those are from weapon swaps and half of the stacks have a few seconds left before they run out. Maybe enough time to get off one or two skills.

After that stack’s gone I’m sitting there naked (I feel pretty exposed without clones confusing people), with a ton of skills on CD.

Generally I’m running around with about 9 stacks all the time. I won most duels before, and I don’t think I win them that much faster now.

So what do you guys think? Has that improved trait pushed us over the edge? I certainly don’t think so.

If ANet wants to support the freedom of multiple viable builds why railroad us mesmers into shatter-centric builds. This doesn’t make sense to me.

I want to keep my phantasms for as long as possible. That being said, it does take a bit of time if I want multiples of the same phantasm out, so I often fill that time with fast spawning clones. This gives me some semblance of misdirection until I can get out more phantasms.

I think it would be pretty awesome if we had the ability to choose to shatter all of them (like it is now) or only shatter clones. That way we are still utilizing the mesmer’s shatter abilities which often provides some pretty good utility.

Another option is to allow us to shatter 1, 2, or all 3 illusions, with shatter priority going to the clones (when shattering only 1 or 2).

In the meantime we are stuck watching them be replaced for no additional benefit when we get our third phantasm out.
