A guildie recently asked me if this picture was photo-shopped, as she didn’t believe it was possible to make an asura so cute.
Mmm, chocolate… We’ll let the non-loreishness go in that case! Dottsy and Tiikah are both great though. I especially like Tiikah, ’cause it reminds me of chicken tikka. Nomnomnom.
This is my elementalist, Naadji, gettin’ jiggy wit’ it! I’ve got a big thing for lore-friendly names, though I can handle other people not caring. My names gotta be good tho’…
Since the 29/10 Tower of Nightmares patch, I’ve noticed that my Sylvari’s eyes have changed colour – more specifically, the iris has become much larger, and takes up almost the whole eye. The previous green colour can hardly be seen at all now. I’ve attached before and after screenshots.
Not sure if this has anything to do with the cultural armour/glow changes, but it’d be great to know if this is intended, as this is pretty sad for my poor Sylvari.

Naadji, my elementalist. Just finished gearing her up, so might make a few adjustments, and I’ll probably dye swap all the time! Need new gloves…
Isn’t she lovely?

Ernest, what hat’s that? Never seen if before, but that’s really awesome!
Some really nice looks here!
This is my necromancer, Ceinwyr. She reckons death gets a bad press; it’s as much a part of life as life itself! She loves to explore, so she’s keen to join the Durmand Priory and get in some tombs and whatnot. This is her on a field trip to the Plains of Ashford; having a great time!
Maybe one day she’ll decide to go for a more “professional” look, but for now she’s happy to be bright and cheerful! Death, hooray!
Not sure exactly what’s causing it, but having Spectral Grasp on the terrestrial skill bar but not on the aquatic one seems to put it on a half (fifteen-second) cooldown when coming out of the water.
Haven’t tested to see if it’s related to any particular skill, but I’ve only noticed it when I’ve been in combat underwater recently. Sorry if I’ve just being stupid and missing something blindingly obvious!
Rhianyn, a really nice Welsh version of Rhiannon. Lovely, and lore-worthy to boot! 9/10!
Love the -vaer part, very celtic. I’m a bit iffy on the Cal part (seems a little out of place), but that’s just me being overly picky. So feel free to ignore my 8/10! Goes perfectly with the guardian class though, sounds very strong and chivalrous.

Hi there, folks! After taking a break for quite a few months, I’m now back in Tyria. Woop!
As always, it’s great fun to explore the world, and it’s really nice to bump into people on my travels and adventure together and chat and so forth. I like the fact that my server is quite quiet, so that I’m not constantly seeing other people; it makes it feel more “realistic”, and nicer when you do meet someone out and about!
A guild seems like it would be fun too, but being part of one of the many larger groups doesn’t really appeal to me. I’m looking for something smaller, where everyone knows everyone else! It’s great to have people to talk to while adventuring, and I’d love to run around and explore with other folks, and help out with anything that I can!
Currently on the Whiteside Ridge server. I’m from Scotland, and can generally play whenever during the day; I’ll almost always be on from 10pm GMT, and often at other times during the morning or afternoon. Things like Skype and TeamSpeak are excellent too, so even better if the guild chats on them!
So, there you go! I’d love to hear from anyone who’d have me. Thanks, guys!
1/10, I’m afraid. Sad times.
Not charr-ish at all, and I don’t get the context/reference either, so it just seems really out of place to me. Sorry!
This is my charr warrior, Ahkar Pyreforge.
I’ve decided that this surname came about after the first burst of story missions;
Pyre, in honour and remembrance of his fallen warband, and Forge to reflect both his aptitude in creating new ideas (Iron Legion storyline) and his ability to swiftly and skilfully put together a new warband.
To be honest, while a lot of the charr armour does feel like it was simply transplanted from one of the humanoid models, there are still plenty of great pieces to work with. It really just takes a bit of work. And, as always in GW2, the greatest plan is an epic bit of mix and match.
Take my charr warrior. His main role is leading from the back with his rifle, and so I’ve gone for a sniper-style armour set for him.
I still haven’t chosen a pair of shoes, as there’s a few nice ones to choose from.
I went for the Vigil leggings and the Pit Fighter’s chest piece, as I like the lighter, leather style.
I love the Arah armguards and shoulders, really think they suit a “gunner” style.
It’s quite sad that the Cultural armour costs so much, as the Tier 3 helm is literally the only headpiece in the entire game that I think suits charr at all.
While there’s still plenty of pieces of armour that do suit the charr body, the helms really have been done awfully. It’s like they haven’t taken the difference between a human’s head and a charr at all; every helm that isn’t a “shell” design just looks like a skullcap or something.
Note to Arena.net: the charr have necks! Necks need protecting too!
