I found the setting that was causing the issue. I had to change the “Shaders” setting from High to Medium and everything has been working fine, since then.

To add, I ran a repair and didn’t fix the issue.

Hi,

I am having issues with Guild Wars 2 playing with NVidia 3D Vision 2. There is a number of areas where there is a purple tint to the left eye. Also a number of areas where it’s brown or semi-darker color on the screen looks pitch black. I tried turning the gamma up to 2.20 which didn’t resolve the darkness.

To add, the right eye is fine for color and this only happens in GW2. This issue does not carry over to other games and the NVidia 3D test application works correctly.

Attach is a picture of the purple tint color from my phone of the screen. The area is 5 seconds south of Scaver Waypoint in Queensdale.

I have tried the following:
- Updating NVidia graphics driver to current version
- Restore all 3D settings to default
- Restore GW2 3D settings to default
- Turn-Off 3D Shader Cache
-Turn-On Ambient Occulsion
- Change Virtual Reality Pre-Rendered Frames from 1 (Minimum) to 4 (Maximum)
- Restoring again all to defaults

Just notice after doing a Google search that ArenaNet does have plans on adding a housing instance in home instances within cities on the GW2 Wiki page which was posted. I’m excited to see this coming and for those that are interested in seeing the information here is a link.

The home instance doesn’t feel like home, since there really isn’t any customization. Also I don’t think someone can show off what they have done to others.

It would be nice to have an actual place that is separate to look at. There are several options that ArenaNet could do that I can think of.

1) Follow EverQuest 2 in that there are multiple homes and apartments, but would have to click the door, enter the person’s place where you want to visit. This was decent and could have a customizable area.

2) Follow Age of Conan and have separate instances that are like neighborhoods which allowed several large groups to be together.

3) My favorite option, but doubt it would happen is having a separate place in certain locations where each place is unique, could be resold, decorated, and personal vendors for stores (or could be hooked up to the Trading Post). Ultima Online (UO) back in the late 90s did this and was a whole dynamic by itself in the game. There were people that actually played as Virtual Real Estate people that earned gold in game flipping houses and castles.

As for being a small part of the community, I can see that, but would tailor even more depth into an awesome game already.

I did a search on this and was surprise I didn’t find any posts on this topic.

I was wondering if there has ever been the thought of adding player housing to the game?

I have always liked the idea of “owning” my own space within a game. If done right, it adds another layer to adventuring and obtaining goods within game. Also with the graphics it would be amazing what could be built, if it were possible.

Has anyone else had this thought?
