-People who leveled past level 30 and the few who reached level 50+ (and level 80) wasted a tremendous amount of time. They did that because there was NO other quality pve content, NO challenge in this game besides high level fractals. There was NO reward or recognition for their effort and now someone’s decided to take all of this back.
-Besides the Thaumanova map, the other 2 new maps seem a reworking of previous living story content. Also, it was only implied and not actually stated that the old fractals will be reworked.
-The Mistlock Instability mechanic sounds more like an RNG nuisance, than an actual challenge.
-The new rewards seem a bit lackluster. People can get gold with more easier ways (dungeons, champ trains) and a rare-to-get tonic just doesn’t cut it. Also, only one daily chest per day is really disappointing
-The leaderboard addition seems like Arenanet’s idea to add a bit more “challenge”. Personally, I think it’s a bad addition, given all the RNG that fractals contain. And obviously, the first place will go to the most hardcore group within 48h after the update is released. Yet another living story addition that can be completed in less than a week.

It’s not only that the much expected FOTM update looks terrible; after the deletion of the “Fractal personal level reset” I can definitely state that Arenanet is handling this very poorly. Hope that was constructive and respectful enough for you.

Gratz on the kill though that stealth trap in lord room had the npc cc/dps me pretty hard ;p

I have already sent a couple of emails regarding my issue and I got back two negative answers. I finally managed to find the courage to write this topic in the official forum, in the hopes that I will receive a positive response (and unfortunately many troll ones, but oh well). EDIT – Ticket number is 131007-000247.

Yesterday night, my sister accessed my computer, logged into the game via the autologin/autorun feature and deleted one of my characters (Crivena, Thief, level 20). The specific character was my mule and I had many important items on it. I will list those that remember: 5 fractal skins, stacks of mithril ore and elder wood log, various superior sigils and runes, t5 materials, black lion salvage kits and some one-use items acquired by various yearly world events (Zephyr Sanctum, Christmas etc). As you can see, I didn’t suffer a small loss.

I tried to explain the issue to the Game Masters. The deletion of the aforementioned character happened without my approval nor my knowledge nor my consent as the account’s owner. I do not share my computer with anyone and I never gave away my account information to anyone, nor did I give my consent to anyone to use my account at any time.

I know that the deletion happened in my computer, using my IP and my account details. I also know that [sic]the design of the game provides ample warning to prevent accidental character deletion by requiring the player to type out the full name of the character a second time, and to confirm that the deletion is truly desired. What I want to underline is that the deletion happened by a third party (my sister), not by me. I know this isn’t hacking obviously, but it happened against my wishes and without my knowledge. EDIT – I can also provide my sister’s signed statement or any other legal document with her admitting that she was the one who erased my character.

I understand that I deserve what I got and I deserve to be trolled. I also comprehend that it’s a bit difficult for Arenanet to go against their policy for me, because then they would have to do it for everyone else. All I’m asking is for some understanding and sort of a favour. I have almost 2.400 hours played, gained 11.2k achievement points, I have been playing GW2 only for the past 1 year. The items I lost have a lot of sentimental value for me: some of them were gifts from friends I met ingame, others were gained after hours of effort. If I don’t get them back, I will probably quit the game. This is not a threat; just a realisation of how much effort and time I’ve lost. So please, I know that an item restoration or an account rollback isn’t something difficult technically, it happens everyday in most respected MMOs. All I’m asking is for a chance from someone to review my issue with a more positive approach.

No I don’t have a stable group yet. And yeah, I know I need to find one XD Few people in the guild are over lvl 40 and we have one person who has done lvl 80, so it shouldn’t be that hard.

I wouldn’t be playing a necro if I wasn’t happy with it or if I didn’t like it. It’s just that it is obvious that we aren’t a popular class and we don’t belong to the top classes of the game. I’ve played and observed long enough to be able to say this.

Now, as an oldfag 4chaner, I’m not very familiar with redshi… eh, I mean reddit! Do post a link to your guide though!

Also, need to do some research on those tanky and support builds you are mentioning, since I didn’t think very much of them. Plus, I don’t really like the Staff… But I guess it’s necessary to succeed in those higher Fractal levels!

So, let’s skip the introduction and get to the bottom of this: we aren’t the fotm class. And when I say fotm, I mean flavour of the month. No, not even close. Necro is OK, so and so, average. But definitely, people are not so happy to see you in high level Fractals.

I managed to complete lvl 48 the other day with my hybrid cond/burst build (scept/dagg & axe/focus), almost glass cannon apart from 3 celestial and one carrion Jewels, plus 10 traits in Vitality. Only got downed like 3-4 times, maybe was lucky, maybe the party was good, maybe that extra HP that Necros have helped.

Anyways, things get freaking difficult after lvl 48 (they are already kinda hard) so I need to optimize my gear and traits accordingly. The problem is that I searched the internetz and didn’t find anything useful q.q

So, would a pure condition build with Carrion gear be OK? Or maybe with Prec-Tough-Cond dmg? Or Power-Tough-Vit?
