greetings to all people especially in the arena net,thank you greatly for this game.I love this game so much so i would like to suggest two things i have on mind right now:
1.it will be quite good and useful if you make some kind of re-logging safety,for example when you log out and come back game should start with your character at nearest way point since many after re-logging you get overwhelmed if you are near enemy spawn point. and the
2.it would be great if you bring back dervish as new profession who will use scythes like in first guild wars.I think that will be epic move since we have 3 scholars and 3 adventurers but only 2 of soldiers professions,so dervish would be perfect new asset as melee soldier profession who use scythes as main weapon.

try that after you set high performance in control panel-power options

anyone else have better performance at the moment?

thanx for first tip about setting high performance in panel and in-game options.getting from 25 to 50,though anet still need to fix this.i remember 80-90 fps and low gpu usage from day one i start playing.i bought gw2 on 3rd september and i had this performance until that infamious 9th september update.hope for fix in each patch

the strangest thing is that when you record game with fraps and play it says on video that performance is good usage never go above 40,both cpu and gpu and temprature is very cool but when you dont record you have issues.each new update i just hoping to see `fps fixed` in notes.can you give us some updates anet?

i did not meant that way.i am very sad about this and when i said i dont care i meant about lags if occur here at me,not like i dont care for others,i stated that claim in mail i sent them some time ago:
``i telling you this in the name of all players who experience this issues and there are much people with same problem``
again when i said i,i mean we.i just state that game is worth playing even if you play with lags.hopefully they fix it soon

anet did comment on this,i got response mail from them and they said they fixing low fps and performance issues,so i believe they work on it quite hard,btw game is so epic that i dont care to much for this problems as long as i can play it.i can wait as long as anet need to optimize it.thank you anet

one think i really cant believe is that arena is about releasing mac version of gw2 while pc version is still barely playable and not optimized

does server transfer can help with fps?anyone confirm?

i found out one interesting thing guys,though very odd:i started gw2 few mins ago and record me playing it with fraps,i recorded over 5 minutes and fps and performance was good on video(fps high,gpu usage low etc)FOR ALL 5 MINUTES.but when you play normally fps issues and performance are back again,what the hell with that.is arena actually consider to fix this?and how the hell in video everything is good?

Everyone in this thread is running very old hardware, including Nova. You cannot expect to run modern games well on 5 year old processors and 4+ year old video cards.

No, it isn’t. Minimum requirements are there to show what it will take to get the game to actually start. In no way do minimum requirements relate to running the game optimally.

The game is not working on my i7-720qm, ati 5850, 6gb ram rig.
It does not work on my cousin’s i7-2600, ati 6870, 8gb ram rig.
It works perfectly fine on my friends 5 years old laptop with a 256mb Geforce 9300 graphics card except in WvW.

You sir are correct, the problem is indeed with people’s rigs and not Arena Net’s problem.

you are not right at all,for example my rig is much worse than both you mentioned,and i play since 28th august with 80-90 fps until last two patches.its problem with this patches.arena should re-roll last two updates

its not fps issues only also gpu usage and memory go up.at least give us simple `we work on it`.i was having 80+ fps untill last few days.

guys maybe new beta ati catalyst can help(for ati users)beta drivers improve guild wars 2 performance they say on site

no change,so its some issue with gw2 not with our drivers guys

i installed new ati catalyst 12.8,and start to play gw 2 and similar major fps issues happen,about 10-20) but in worldmap fps goes steady 80.and i had 60-80 before 7th and 8th september patch.does somebody now whats the problem?game is almost unplayable since now fps is hardly 13 in crowded area,yestarday before last two patches was 55 and above in crowded area.
