Yes, let’s separate new/casual players from those who know what they’re doing. I’m sure they’ll learn how to get better twice as fast.
Your comment makes no sense to me what so ever. Do you honestly think it’s better to have new/casual players come into pvp and get smacked around every game, because they are teamed with 4 other randoms vs a team or partial team of elitists?
If anything, it can only benefit that they have the option to be teamed with other new/casual players, vs new/casual players, where they have a setup which will allow them to learn the traits of battle without getting stomped.
Sign up with friends, Join a guild, many guilds will recruit teach and carry .
If you wanna Rank up fast you should just stick to non-tournament SPVP btw..
I don’t believe I said anything about needing to learn how to pvp, or wanting to be carried. I don’t want to “rank up fast”.
I want to enjoy pvp through equally skilled/unskilled opponents, who can be expected to be on a similar level as myself, with equal benefits.
I know that it would be necessary for me to join a guild to achieve that due to the current system. But I also believe that it would in everyones best interest to make a simple and easy matchmaking system, where you can’t que up as a team, hence having 10 randoms 5v5 on equal terms and background.
I’m not talking about substituting the current system, as teams should also be able to have their fun – vs other teams. But why should anyone be forced to join a guild to have a chance to win a free tournament?
How about making a tournament mode that is only for players who sign up solo, so that the teams are only as organized as random teams can be? I believe such a mode would make pvp in Heart of the Mists much more enjoyable for everyone, except of course for the teams who laugh at the current system as they get easy points and rank for stomping free tournaments.
