I received an email from you guys stating that a request for a password reset was submitted. The only password resets that were submitted for this account was a LONG time ago. And that issue was resolved. I have had access to this account now for the past 2 days and have been having a lot of fun with the game again since I came back 2 days ago.
However….There was something strange that I noticed when I looked at the security section on the website ( and I wish I had taken a screenshot of it to show you what I saw ) there was an unauthorized IP address that was showing from Austin, Texas. When I did a trace to that number it showed it coming from Nc Interactive / NCSoft Corp. ( which is you guys right? ) Why would you guys be asking for a password reset on this account? If that is what happened. Being as there were no other password reset requests submitted and that was the only IP address showing attempting to access this account on the Security Webpage it only led me to that conclusion.
I have never seen this happen before and I asked a friend about it as well and he suggested that I should contact you guys about it ASAP to get it squared away and find out what was going on.
Regardless, I ignored the email and tried logging in to my game and it still works with my password. And after checking my toons and gear and everything is still there as it should be. So, anyways…some clarity and insight would be appreciated.
