Well it didn’t take long for this great announcement to descend into complaining, like every other announcement.

Make it repeatable so you don’t cut off massive portions of your player base, excluding them from participating unless they make unrealistic changes to their schedule.

@quidgy.1483 i didn’t ask for new content in storyline,
i ask for somthing to do after i finish this, guild wars 1 has underworld, has fow, has kanaxai, elite areas, that are repeatable and hard, maybe these things are needed ?

Maybe those things are needed. I never played GW1 to endgame so I can’t comment.

I wasn’t attacking you, just trying to see what you actually wanted from endgame.

You have to ask yourself, what do you want to do with your your time in a game? Every game becomes repetitive at some point. It would be unreasonable to expect more content to be added at a speed which keeps it new and fresh for everyone. If you’re not the kind of person to repeat content too much, or not someone who cares about going for specific bits of gear, and you aren’t drawn to PvP and WvW, then take a break . Wait for more content, come back and play some more. You aren’t paying a sub fee so it’s much easier to drop in and out of the game as you want.

Why do you not WvW?

I don’t do it because of the massive lag increase I get in WvW whenever I run into a moderately sized group. I’ll be jumping in as soon as I build my new computer.

I understand people are angry/disappointed/annoyed, but why are so many of you being so melodramatic?

I don’t like the idea of gear grind or forcing us to have certain gear to experience certain content but threatening to quit or demanding a refund based on a blog post is really over the top.

Is it really? They’re going against what makes Guild Wars Guild Wars. They’re taking all of the promises, all of the amazing things that were meant to separate this game from conventional MMO’s and burning it to the ground. There are many of us who have been waiting for this game since 2007, following every update, magazine article and blog, and to say that this game hasn’t been an utter disappointment is an under exaggeration. It’s like what Peter Moleneux promised for the original fable.

Of course it’s over the top. No one has even played this update yet to see how they like it for themselves in action, and yet we have people threatening to quit.

Unless players specifically wanted to avoid any kind of gear upgrade system.

We already have that system. We have tiers of gear in the game, they are just adding another. I agree that it’s an unimaginative way to extend end game and I’m disappointed in their lack of innovation, but it’s nothing to quit over at this stage. Quit when you’ve exhausted the content or become bored. Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.

Because the lack of a gear grind was the main focus and marketing point for this game. It’s the main idea that brought most of us here. Were it not for that many of us would still be playing our old games. So going back on the one idea that made this game is certainly something to be upset about.

That’s not true for everyone. Many people like myself thought the game just looked fun or started playing for other reasons. Many people aren’t at level 80 yet and gear grind isn’t a concern at this stage.

Hopefully this can gain some traction and we get a dev post confirming they’ll at least look into it.

Pet suggestion: visibility of buffs and debuffs

The title explains it really; make it easily apparent what buffs and debuffs our pets have. This is particularly important if you want us to use the traits that share buffs with our pets and let us transfer debuffs to them. I want to easily know this is working.

On a similar topic: it’s quite possible this feature already exists and I’ve just missed it. If so, someone’s help pointing it out would be much appreciated.

All the classes will get some attention soon, I’m sure. There are obviously other issues which need looking at first, some of which might be less noticeable than skill changes, fixes and balances.
