Clever ideas, thank you very much both of you. Had the Jungle Stalker as well, but never thought of setting it to passive so it always died during boss encounters. Haven’t tried the Drakehound yet and Ice Drake has been helpful this far.

Playing a longbow ranger, and wondering what pets and traits y’all find handy in the Wastes (and against specific bosses), or if they’re all pretty much equal.

I take the optimistic “soon” reply to mean “whenever the next patch rolls around” (so about a week or two at most), especially since the bug seems to have been identified and fixed, just a matter of rolling it out.

Got hit by this bug as well on my Norn. I got the Svanir drunk, and all but one (peaceful) Svanir left into their hut. I let the minotaurs out, and attacked the Svanir after that, but the peaceful Svanir’s existence seems to block the quest from advancing further.

I exited the instance, and retried the quest, now there’s two peaceful Svanir (one from before?) and the quest won’t even progress past “Get the Sons of Svanir drunk”.

I’m wondering, is there anyone for whom this quest did work in the past three weeks (can ANet access that kind of info?) Did they do anything differently? I noticed that my first peaceful Svanir might have been the Svanir that was “yellow” until I attacked him, then he became green, but still fainted. Was something changed with downing maybe that would affect this?

I’m playing PvE exclusively at the moment, one character (Ranger), and don’t plan on PvPing at all (might do WvW, but a lot later). I’m still leveling and exploring a lot right now (which is great fun!), but am at a loss as to what to use the laurels I get from log-in rewards for. Amulets/rings/accessories seem tempting to save up for, but there’s soooo many. Not quite sure what infusions are (like runes?). And I don’t know if any of the Living World purchases are worth it, they seem mainly cosmetic. Heck, I’m half-tempted to get the Cat Tonic. Sooooo advice? What did y’all spend them on?
