Guild Wars 2

Sorry to sound like a noob but how does it work to be in a guild from a different world with megaserver? Will I still be able to participate in events or benefit from guild bonuses that are enabled? I am a little fuzzy on that area. Thanks

Recently joined the Guild Wars 2 family and I have to say that it is really nice to be here. After playing WoW for 7 years and having to quit due to kids, work, family stuff – I finally have some time to be able to put into a good MMO. The only issue that I see may be a problem with some people is that I have a few friends that joined at the same time and we also have our own guild just to keep our conversations organized. We don’t have any real structured play what so ever because, to be honest, we are all so new at this game we are not really sure what to do besides running around and completeing zones. I am not looking for someone to run me through dungeons or to hold my hand for the rest of my levels (currently 26) but I just want a friendly atmosphere where I can ask a question or be able to level with people like me and eventually turn into structured WvW or PVP play (PVE isn’t typically my thing but I am open to it). I am not really sure what guilds are looking for when they browse these sections so I will just post it out:

Typical Game Time: Mostly evenings when son goes to bed, will be spotty when I have wife aggro
