LF active Aussie guild, PvX, little more than casual

Hi all, I’m looking for a fun, mature Aussie guild that has people on and active day and night. By this I mean I am a full-time uni student (as well as working), so sometimes I will be on during the day before/after classes but studying & other chores at night (and vice versa) – I’m kinda all over the place. I’m after something a bit more than casual, because a lot of “casual” guilds end up being extremely uneventful (very little talk, very little activities), but I don’t have time to be completely hardcore.

My main is a level 80 ranger, 400 leatherworker. I’ve kinda rushed through to 80 to catch up to my previous guild, so I don’t have a lot of dungeon/pvp experience, and only a little WvW exp. I’m more than happy to participate and contribute to guild activities. I also prefer to use voicechat (I have Vent, Teamspeak 3 and Mumble), and I will use forums if they’re provided.

Lastly I am really after a guild with a sense of humour as well as a level of respect for one another, regardless of gender/ethnicity/sexual orientation/etc. I can tolerate and will often partake in a lot of mildly offensive crap talk (I often swear a lot, I am Aussie after all), but I will not tolerate personal attacks. I want to be able to enjoy my spare time with a bunch of good-natured people who don’t take things too seriously and aren’t out to make other people miserable.

Thanks if you read all that! :p

[Piken Square] The Sisterhood - women 18+

This is a great idea. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve wanted to started a female-only guild in a game, but I’ve worried about being either ridiculed by the community in general or rejected by other women. I’ve come from games where girls lavish the attention they get from men and exploit it to the max, so it’s always been hard to find women that feel the same as I do – where they don’t feel they are respected as a person and considered for their unique set of skills not based on their gender. I’ve always just wanted to be considered for what I had to offer to the guild as a player, not as a woman.

Having said that the majority of my online game friends have been male, probably as a result of the above; not finding like-minded women (it could also be to do with the fact that I actually grew up with lesbians). Most of the guilds I’ve been in, I’ll laugh and go along with a lot of the nonsense (having worked in the trade industry I’ve know how to cope with that) but often I’ve eventually become fed up with the sexist/perverted comments and withdrawn.

Sorry for the life story, I just really liked the idea. It makes me want to move server.
