Im a mesmer that can play shatter or phantasm, I am looking for an sPvP orientated guild, or even an sPvP team to play tournament matches with. Have been playing since launch, and can also play a variety of other classes in sPvP.
I dont think I need to mention my server anymore due to the megaserver system but im in HoD

Severe Lag, suspected packet loss

Hi,
About 6 months ago I went into GW2, and started experiencing severe lag. There was alot of rubberbanding, and the game was only playable when all the settings were turned to low. Prior to this lag happening, I was able to run GW2 at medium to high settings without any lag whatsoever.

These are my pc specs:
CPU : i5 2 400
GFX: Radeon HD 6850
Mobo: Gigabyte p67aud3rb3
HDD: Seagate 500 GB
SSD: Kingston HyperX 3k
PSU: 750w Thermaltake Toughpower XT Bronze
RAM: 4GB 1600mhz G Skill
OS: Windows 8 Pro

I talked to Anet support and they showed me how to run a ping test and plot the ping, and I have attached that ping report. They told me I was suffering from packet loss and that I have to contact my ISP.

Upon contacting my ISP however, they said the problem was not on their end and that I would have to talk to Anet.

I have read many forums about this same issue, but I am really confused as they all give different answers….

Could someone please tell me who is at fault? Anet or my ISP, and how would I fix this?

I have tried things like Battleping and Smoothping, but none of them have worked
The odd thing is, I tried it at a friends house the other day, and I still lag!

Thanks,
Redmug
