But I’m not sure they’ve really worked on this. These changes to the story and the stupification by locking things up is not something you need to put much thought into. If they’ve really done some research and testing, I’d like to see the numbers. I want to see how dumb we are, or they think we are, on paper.

Revert.

Before it’s too late, revert. Even thought it’s probably already too late.

I haven’t played for more than a year and started again last week. I was really surprised by the amount of things that were available to me account wide, it almost felt strange. But I was really enjoying my new human thief and loving the Personal Story and character progression in general. I remember I loved that about GW2. Until yesterday! I was leveling by completing hearts and taking part in Group Events and continuing my story every time I reached the “recommended” level – once I think, continuing 1 level short and sometimes I would complete a heart 1-2 levels short. At the end of the week, I logged out at lvl24 – just enough, so I could continue my story next time. But now I log in to find out I have to get 6 more levels to continue my story. Holy smokes, are you serious? Get me, I’ve been playing only for one week, so I really want to see how this is going to play out. Wouldn’t have a problem with dumping the game for the ~20gigs of HDD space.

This video perfectly sums up my feels about this update: http://youtu.be/D-On3Ya0_4Y

You call these new changes unlocks, but IMO in reality, the player is most likely going to feel locked out of something most of the time. Seriously, look at all those lock icons everywhere!

Looks like I solved my own problem.

It’s not a GW2 issue, but the Virtu MVP software issue. It seems that the license has expired, so I reinstalled it and the issue is gone for now. I’m guessing the same thing will hapen next month, or until Lucid release and update to fix this.

I’m getting this error message everytime I launch the GW2 client and even when the client relaunches after logging out. It keeps popping up and I have to press OK multiple times.

It’s not actually preventing me from playing because after clicking OK about 3 times, it stops popping up.

Although I also noticed that my Virtu MVP stopped working and I now have to be plugged into my discrete graphics, which kind of sucks because I like using it.
