Guild Wars 2

I’ve used WINE to run Guild Wars for a long time before Guild Wars 2 released, and unfortunately GW2 is not playable for me this way. I understand that there may not be an obvious revenue benefit to supporting Linux as a platform, however given the success of GOG, Humble, and Steam it fortunately looks like the platform is on the rise.

I would love to see Guild Wars 2 run natively on Linux. I am looking to see if there are others in the community that are interested. I would love to hear from Linux users that also want a Linux client, whether they currently have success running the game in WINE or otherwise.

ArenaNet: If it would be feasible for you I would request you consider creating a crowd-funding entry to fund development of a Linux client. I personally would be willing to pay into that, and promote it among various Linux communities.

If nothing else, I would like to know whether there have been conversations and/or information about this topic before since a search of the forums for “linux” came up empty for me. I would love to hear from other Linux users that might have insights on the matter.
