I understand what he means.
- I feel that the aspect crystals in Dry top hinder the use of dry top kites.
All of the people scattered through out the area, including centaurs needed a way to climb/cross the terrain.
You cant say they have been using aspect crystals that just arrived.
Searching for buried chests, and attempting to use the dry top kites in a sandstorm will result in having too equip your kite about 15 times.
The Dry top kites intention are that they are suppose to be used in a sandstorm to search for buried chests. That is why you get 33% movement speed during sandstorms.
The game fights you the entire time.
- Any enemy damage unequips your kite.
- Taking any fall damage also unequips your kite.
- Equipping any aspect bundles. ( which is needed to get too many areas, about 45% of dry top chest searching)
- Participating in any dry top event.
- Re-equipping your kite, is not as simple as it could be.
Other bundles are not affected by combat, and are not as difficult to “have fun” using
1.The Dry top Toy kite is not viable
a. Items cannot be bound to keys.
b. Enemies aggro you no matter your level.
c. We are reduced too the enemies level so they deal alot of damage.
d. Being Engaged in any sort of combat unequips your kite.
e. When in combat not only ^ but you have the incombat MoveSpeed.
Ex. (Attempt to cross dry top during a sandstorm while wielding a Dry top Toy kite, searching for buried treasure chests. You will have to open your inventory and equip your kite about 15 times.)
2. DPS Thieves are too vulnerable in this game. (I understand that Thieves are suppose to be squishy and agile, and that they are suppose to be a skillful class that relies on dodging/invis.)
a. Many abilities in this game will instantly kill thieves and cannot be dodged.
b. Running through areas without attacking enemies, can build up alot of enemy aggro, resulting in massive damage that thieves cannot withstand.
c. You must must build, and constantly use an invisibility build, unless you want to be very annoyed most of this game.(Which lowers your damage, as this game has no build switching feature.)
Ex. (Attempt to cross the straits of devastation as a DPS thief Getting the locations/skillpoints)
Suggested ways to help Toy kites and Thieves, have fun and increase immersion.
a. Have an out of combat item slot/setting. That takes out certain items when out of combat.
b. Make at the very least Dry Top Toy kites able to be bound to a key.
c. Gaining slayer on an enemy reduces other enemies aggro of the same enemy type.
based on your level of slayer against them
(Ex: At 10 they have 10% reduced aggro range, 50 they have 30% so at 500 dust mite kills, dust
mites ignore you.) One issue you have too account for is that bosses will increase nearby
enemy aggro, but they will choose people with lower slayer level.
D. Allows items too be equipped too a certain slot. These items can use the number pad that this game doesnt have any use for.
Jokes in this game/features that are so terrible its laughable.
Dry top kites being used in Dry top.
DPS Thieves in many boss fights.
Dry top Legendary sand giant. (Singular part far off track here, but w/e)
Trying to cross large high level terrain, as a DPS thief.
My DPS asura screaming at the top of his lungs while trying to run/dodge through the straits.
All of the above problems are closely linked and fixing one issue would bring alot of relief too the other issues.
I am very hopeful and wishing, that kites can become much more viable in dry top, and/or that theives can get some help.
I am very motivated about the idea that slayer reduces enemy aggo.
