With the new patch … is there a build for world bosses and stuff ? (GS especially)

I’m new to this game, i just hit lvl 80 with my mesmer and i’m looking for a build for the pve content, a damage/dps build.

Up to this point, i found 2 builds that i’m interested :

I’m leaning towards the first because of the greatsword but i’d like to see your recommendation.

Thx guys … well last time i tried necro, mesmer and thief, necro being my main, and i enjoyed all of them, but this time i’ll focus on my mesmer, i heared they are good in pvp and pve too. Tho, i don’t know how the thief dose in pve.

So i’m coming back to guild wars 2 after a long pause … and i would like to know what is the most played class right now and also the most fun class to play ?
