Yeah, but it pained me, as I am sure it has pained many others that GW 1 vs GW 2… those of us who lived the GW 1 Lore for many years, are still forever wondering what became of Cantha. What of Elona?

It’s something I never once accepted about GW 2 in all the time I’ve been playing it. It’s almost as if they erased the existence of these two “continents” of the world and RARELY bother acknowledging their existence.

Sure, Logan asks us what our linage is. And some twit outside of the armorsmith in DR is forever missing her grandma’s Red Bean Cakes, but… it seems like that is the only evidence that these two societies even co-existed with Tyria and…. from a storybook point of view… that’s… pathetic, lmao…

Can you imagine, if you would for a moment, what it must be like to be immortal? Especially exalted? They don’t eat, don’t sleep…

Up to this point, they have just been… existing and just a brief thought I had, what would it be like to be one of them?

Once human, with all the luxuries that come with that. Eating, sleeping… or just simply RESTING.

I imagined just now that to be Exalted would be like… the cosmos hit the PAUSE button on my entire existence and I am forever just… hovering about…

Yeah, I’m sorry, I would probably wanna shoot myself at some point. they could at least offer them ice cream or… something…

“I play how I want…”

…and make everybody lose in the process.

I remember back during marionette ANet mentioned how they were trying to push the players to get better at the game, but this “play how I want” mentality has been the largest obstacle when it comes to getting players to improve.

This is especially annoying in open world content, where you’re stuck with a bunch of these players and end up failing what should be trivial content because of it. I can’t count the number of Silverwastes breaches I’ve seen fail because of a simple lack of damage.

With even more challenging open world content coming with HoT we are going to see the same problems unless players drop this mentality and get better at the game.

So please people, stop supporting this excuse for bad play and encourage players to get better instead.

The problem with that is:

1. Some people are going to play how they want, forget everyone else, no one is a better player that JoeBob cause he knows everything and if anything, everyone should be playing the way he does.

2. Some people don’t make a habit of reading mapchat, which I feel is sorta mandatory in the way of…if you want to learn how something is done, there are dozen of people in mapchat, myself included, who take the time to explain the dynamics of a fight.

3. I am finding more and more lately, in Silverwastes that some people do not know what AoE or Cleaving means. They aren’t aware that any character they may be running may be a textbook definition of AoE, or Cleaving. This to me is fine, what’s NOT fine is people seem to automatically assume that everyone knows what those two things are.

I feel that a good player is a player that teaches others. And a good student is a person who goes out of their way to learn.

Until these two concepts are more intensely explored, we’re always going to have issues, but in the end, it’s nothing that I REFUSE to get twisted up into knots over.

I just hope when HoT IS released, that there IS $50 to $99.99 worth of content making it exit. Cause if this expansion runs like a Living Story…. ohhh boy, I am gonna be… mighty angry. Cause honestly? I don’t feel like ANet is “giving” anything to us, to be honest with you.

I understand your attachment to this game The part of this game that I was really attached to was Super Adventure Box, but they keep taking it away!

well, the SAB was not accepted by many people. I was one of them, I never cared to do it cause… I already did it… for YEARS, LOL.

Remember, some of your co-players are people like me, 36 years old or older, maybe younger, who spent their entire youths playing Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Playstation… in a mountain of games that looks like SAB, had NO save option, highly limited in the ways of: You only have 3 lives to live on your quest to save the world… so… die sparingly (LMAO)…

I, uh… since spending the ages of 8 through 23 trapped in these worlds of box-choppy graphics, limited lives, no save options… well… for those of you who love SAB, that is awesome! Here, you can take my 3 little lives and try not to die with them, lmao

lmao… I have come to kind of ignore it, but my husband on the other hand… we’re in the Lava Lounge, a place I call the Flea Market, as it reminds me of one, lol (sorry, Anet)…

We’ll be standing there, and from his computer, I will hear his character scream while at the TP, suddenly I hear my husband say, "Oh wtf… Why is he screaming? I ain’t doing anything!

and I’ll start laughing.
