I hear you oZii … but I have to say … a class that has lowest hitpoint, lowest armor, no stealth or clone gimmicks … it should hit like a freaking truck and it doesn’t. It hits just as hard as other classes … just with less survivability.

I am not putting support down … but seriously … someone missed a memo somewhere that this class has all the drawbacks it does with very few benefits.

The problem is that we the players don’t know what our position is in the queue or what the queues are for each zone so that we can make informed decisions. More information is the correct direction.

And when that happen, you might have missed you chance to get a big hit in.. and he might be standing in melee range taking nearly no dmg.
also if it is a mesmer, he wil evade, guardian will block and thief dodge..

So getting hit by such spell might also show that you are not the most skilled player.. granted range vs range it is very good.. but rangers outrange it. And only when the trait trigger will it bdeal these sick number.. but guess ppl forgot all about DH and moved on to the next nerf-thing..

that said 5 energy is way too low.. make it 25-35.
that said I would like to see removal of CD and increased upkeep through traits.

Um, no. This is an attack, not a utility skill. No weapon attack has an energy cost greater than 15.

That said, I have been hit just as hard by fellow full Zerker classes since release. You are complete glass cannon and easily countered. This is a L2P issue. Being full Zerker has a built in counter.

You are missing the point here. Nothing to do whether it is utility or not. As Stated through out many post, I want to see removal of CD and major increase in energy cost.. alot like thief, where you decide if you want to spam an attack three time or maybe save some for evade or the like.

No, I really think you are missing the point. We get at max, 5 energy per second and have utilities that eat energy. Something thieves do NOT have.

Thieves big weapon abilities are what, 4 initiative? They have a pool of 12 to 15 initiative. They gain initiative at a base rate of 1 per second and have traits that generate it while in stealth, when you evade, stealing, swapping weapons, ect. Their utilities do not diminish their initiative pool at all.

Revenant has NOTHING that grants bonus energy and utilities that diminish or completely remove our ability to regain it at all. Your suggestion would be the worst thing that could happen to the class as we would never be able to use our utilities and elites just to be able to power our weapon attacks.

Masterful Reflection (distortion grants reflection) doesnt work with all sources of distortion like Blurred Frenzy (Sword 2). Works only with shattering (F4)

Anyways, staff is going to have better support, conjures are going to be stronger, warrior’s pve damage trait is going to be moved a tier up, and assassin’s s/d boon stealing is going to be toned by half. All goods news to elementalists in pve and in pvp.

except that:

  • 20+ arcane still required for the class to be tolerable
  • 15+ water still required for any non-joke PVE build
  • around a third of traits are total garbage
  • signet build still kitten weak
  • glyph build still kitten weak
  • conjures still kitten clunky
  • focus lol

…and that conjure buffs won’t help because…

Conjures don’t get used cause they are badly designed: they feel really clunky to activate & use, the skills are generally underwhelming, the limited charges are annoying, conjure traits are terrible, and last but not least – they consume a precious utility slot.

The whole design of conjures has no redeeming feature that make them worthwhile- why give up 20 skills to gain 5? they should replace only the skills of their respective element, so you’re free to switch elements as you please. You know, the core class-defining mechanic…

same problems as day #1 of release.

Add to that…
- AoE is still a joke in BlobWars2
- Scepter is still slow as kitten.
- Too many skills make us stand still which is kittening bogus considering our armor and hitpoints.

Josh, I actually used the 25% movement speed buff it was before.

You removed this from me and gave me something that I can’t see any practical use for. 1.5 seconds is not enough time for that amount of speed to be any sort of advantage. Even WITH a Fresh Air build which was the target for this change in the first place.

Either buff the duration or put it back.

P.S. : Do you even have any WvW/PvP focused elementalists on your internal testing server? This is something that anyone with half a brain could have pointed out to you during development.

P.P.S. : Inscription is a better trait for speed now. I can use Inscription and get 45+ seconds of swiftness by swapping to Air and using GoEH .

So if you purchased gems to pay for this item and can no longer buy it … will ANet refund the gem purchase? The idea of holding onto gems for a new replacement item no one has seen is far too close to Bait and Switch.

Elementalist is fine in PvE, ok in WvW and Terrible in PvP right now.

So please, dont ask for buffs in the PvE aspect.

As for PvP, ele need mobility, not damage.

They need both. When I am getting hit for 15k by a warrior with killshot and my long buildups only hit for 3-5k … something is wrong. Warriors have twice our hits, armor, and more mobility … higher damage is just icing on the insult cake.

Ok, so we are basically at the 5001 character limit so I would like some help just verifying that all issues currently listed are still issues. If you could all go through the list and just verify that all these bugs are still present and if not post here what I should remove that will free up space for some of the things that have been posted but we have had no room for.
