Can we please have nothing to do with Destiny Edge 2.0 when this expansion hits? They would serve much better as small packs of friends finding their own journey through Maguuma that we sometimes meet in-between our adventures, granted you might find the team enjoyable if you have a taste for bad dialect and story telling but most of us don’t like them.
It’s honestly a joke that to progress through the game, I have to do it with a cast of members I don’t like. Braham and Rox are stale, Kasmeer and Marjory are just shoehorned lesbians that constantly flaunt the fact that they are together in our face, tied together with the worst voice acting I have ever heard and Taimi though being really cool isn’t all that unique and special, just another disgruntled Asura. And as a character doing my story with them I can’t help but feel like a watcher of their drama with absolutely no inclusion in what they are doing.
Please don’t make them essential to the story in HoTS…
keep in mind the story ISN’T ABOUT YOU

Except in the story those other player characters do not exist. You are DE 2.0’s leader. You defeated Zhaitan. You brought DE 1.0 back together. You were the first pact commander. And so on.
yeah, and how FORCED was that
read the novels. how forced is it to have a random person somehow bring DE 1.0 together……if u ply the dungeons, they did it on their own and you were jsut there. your the outsider and yet somehow your their leader(when most don’t even know who the hell you are)
you did NOT defeat zhaitan. the ship “glory of tyria” did it with its laser and confetti cannons(which was so lame. you just happened to be on the ship)
the Pact commander? sorry, but that whole thing was ruined by the kitten pile of weeds that should have been an advisor. not in charge of you with his emotionless voice acting.
DE 2.0 was brought together by you yes, but your replaceable. it doesn’t matter if you an asura, human, sylvari, or charr…..when what race you are should affect how you respond to them and how they respond to you. but it doesnt. so you replaceable.
i actually miss the lv 10 and 20 story lines….back when the story was PERSONAL and not you following people being forced into a random role.

gw2 spoiled me by giving me FAR more content than $60 would usually give.
so i’m happy to buy HoT =)
even if it is only 1/4 the size of GW2’s original launch. i’d consider it worth it due to the ammount of content GW2 and HoT together gives for $120.
and new players get both for $60! if GW2 original launch was worth far more than $60,
then HoT+ GW2+ the content added in since launch makes that the best thing on the market.
i know i will be dissapointed by thief if it gets a staff (i wanted a rifle……)
and probably ranger since it gets a support staff….
but more content and stuff to mess with yay
( is it that hard to give us a medium armor rifle class? no….engineer doesn’t count. thats a SHOTGUN. not a rifle. )

Why you guys play PVE?There is no point for me…
You play to farm legendaries, but you can go there and buy a legendary with real money and no effort…
It’s only “4fun”, but do the same things all the time isn’t that fun…WvW, its a competitive in theory, so, win it’s the point!
PVP, same thing!
because in competitive theres only 1 winner. the rest are losers
one group gets the “fun” of winning
the rest gets the frustration of losing.
and in PvP because no one wants to lose, they get really toxic when you make a mistake (it goes from a misclick or a innocent mistake, into players screamign at you that your a kitten noob, team lost cause of you. go unistall. get a brain")
or if you win, the enemy team curses you (“hacker, noob, kitten spammer”)
and i really dislike that
in PvE, the AI bots don’t care if they lose. they don’t insult you.
its more relaxed, mistakes are more easily forgiven. and as such its a more fun evironment where people work together to have fun.
it might lack the challenge of PvP, but sometimes a casual relaxing fun PvE is what you need.
competitive PvP is frustrating and people take it to seriously
PvE is more social as well as people can sit down and bring up topics of interest outside the match that people can laugh or enjoy.

why do you breathe every day
why do you go through the same routine. going to school or work, coming home for dinner going to sleep.
doing the same things over and over?
in tennis you hit the ball over the net over and over
in baseball you hit the ball and run the bases over and over.
in PvP you cap the same circles, kill the same enemies with the same key pattern. or cap the same towers.
everything in life is repetition. its the satisfaction you get from doing or finishing it that makes it worth it
