Minions in GW1 would at times have issues with responsiveness in PvP as well. I played a lot of fort aspenwood as an MM, and there were a couple of specific corners where all your minions could get stuck.
The difference in GW2 is that minions are much more valuable since this game has a much more action oriented combat system where your minions abilities and attacks can have a big impact on how well the fight goes for you. There simply is no excuse for bone minions to idle behind you when the enemy you need them next to is far in front of you, or for your elite skill (flesh golem) to idle next to you while you’re downed when his attacks would let you rally.
Minion AI simply needs to be more responsive for PvP. Reverting the AI back to it’s release version for PvP exclusively might help tremendously.

No, what Minions need is to not be destroyed by the MM transforming.
Seriously, I am so sick of being completely and utterly shut out of a match if the enemy has a single engineer or Mesmer. They just chase me around all game, moa me, and kitten all over me and there isn’t any counter play to it. I just get straight kittened.

I got my answer. Apparently removed because abjured lost to a set of builds they had no experience too. Instead of letting the meta develop Anet removed content from the rest of PvP to cater to a small handful of players.
This is a big pathetic joke. You let vampiric runes run rampant on D/D eles for months, but a single team loses to a new build and you immediately remove the stuff they lost to from PvP? kittening disgusting. GW2 will never be Esports. Especially doing kitten like this.

I think a more appropriate title would be “axe and focus need a buff”. Though I agree, the Axe either needs a damage increase on the auto attack or a range increase and the focus #5 is incredibly situational. The low damage and chill don’t make it useful enough for any instances outside of the boon removal. Especially with the atrocious cast time.

Honestly mesmers aren’t bad.
D/D ele is the only thing that is just completely out of hand right now. The sustain, damage, CC, and mobility all wrapped up into one neat package is BS. D/D ele can literally fill every single role atm without having to sacrifice anything.

I’m glad to see we run the same build. I personally prefer the bone minions though as they self combo with death nova and are single-handedly our strongest nuke. They also apply a much higher DPS against 2 or more enemies if you can get their blasts off.
However, the flesh wurm is by far more reliable in any one on one fight.
I don’t have the same life force generation issue. In fact more often then not I have full life force before it comes off cooldown since axe+focus/staff has so many ways to gain life force.
Also, I personally think DS is almost always worth using when you have the cooldowns up off of it. That single target fear is great in PvP and the gap closer is useful for catching anyone who flees the horde. I don’t even need to mention how amazing life transfusion is for minion up-keep.

+30% boon duration to your other boons is worth a lot more than a measly +10% more might.

I’ve never had any instance of it not going off. The only thing close to it I can come up with is if a small object blocks the flesh golem’s path and he is held against it while charging off screen.
