You oPP/Riot guys are okay by me.
A vast majority of the players I bump in to turn and run immediately. It’s so frustrating when you’re roaming with 2 people and there are 5 JQ running from you on sight. Good fight is a good fight, win or lose.
Everybody loves getting double teamed, don’t lie.
Still a lot of lag but we’re finally getting back to have a normal pvp environment. Thanks to all who are already burned out, left tier 1 or have finished their a-cheese-ments.

@HzH guy: I found 1 ranger who didn’t run from me today. I found 1 guard who ported as soon as he saw me go towards him, 1 ele who ran but couldn’t get away, and a thief who upon me running up to him used blinding powder and ran to bay. I was solo in every situation. So maybe try getting your 1 ranger to train your guildies to not run, he’s a cool guy.
As i am probably the ele you are referring to here i think i can explain why we ‘run away’ from you instead of fight you.
oPP is a guild build to roam and 1v1 , 2v1 people. PvP players pur sang and you’re good, if not great, at what you do.
[HzH] is a map leading guild, almost 95% of the players you’ll encounter with an [HzH] tag are built to support the guild in open field fights, support and siege warfare. We have roamers, but they are few and far between. The ones we have though, tend to kitten people up in 1v1, i hope you’ll encounter them once, i think it’s going to be a good match.
As for why i tend to ‘run away’, instead of fight an oPP player 1v1. Well, first, i’m a friggin ele…last thing i need to do is 1v1-ing mesmers and thieves :p
Secondly, my entire gear, weaponset, traitset, build…is made to support a guild group in group fights. I know my build, i don’t deal a lot of dmg, but i heal the kitten out of people and make sure my commander is alive and at full health even during the largest fights. Do you honestly want me, a staff ele (even switching to daggers won’t do much for me) with 0 points in fire, and fully geared to heal instead of doing dmg, fight you who are fully decked out to 1v1 people. I don’t see the use in that, to me is it’s as usefull as a can of alcoholfree beer in a bachelorsparty. I honnestly think it makes more sense for me to try to kite you and go help my own guild. And this goes for almost all of our members.
So yeah, you’ll probably see us trying to dodge your guild in order to get to our own, not because we suck, but because we’re simply not sporting the build to 1v1 at that time.
That being said. Few HzH will be able to win from an oPP player in a 1v1. On the other hand, oPP is less likely to capture/defend a keep being defended/assaulted by HzH.
Both guilds have their strengths and weaknesses, no use in chest thumping on forums on how you can use your strong point vs another guilds weak point.

Refreshing to read somebody who understands what’s going on.
oPP is a pretty solid small ops guild and don’t really have anything to prove. Tonights engagements in JQ bl have been pretty fun, thanks for the fights SoR and BG.
You zerglings are nuts. oPP have really good members. I agree that sometimes you can see 5 of their guild roaming together (sometimes bigger, but it happens). But most of the time I see these guys only in groups of 2-3.
If you’re solo roaming, you’re going to feel picked on by them as it’s a fight you’re never going to win (trust me). They’re a roaming guild, they’re not always by themselves so get over it.
The way I see it, if you’re going to critizise a guild for roaming in packs when you find it comfortable enough to suffer in a map blob, EVEN WHEN TAKING THE MIDDLE NODES, then honestly, look in a mirror.
To come onto the forums to make fun of a guild who run small enough numbers that they don’t completely destroy any level of playability in this game is amazing.

Have the Bloodlust areas not created a more enjoyable skirmishing environment in the lower tiers???
Basically the buff hasn’t really changed much, I think. Unless you’re totally shut out of a match (being on Blackgate, I have no idea if you ever encounter that). Where you can’t take keeps back, you’re starting breakouts for Cragtop/Sunnyhill, and the enemy has more people roamers in the ruins than you have people total. Then it’s super annoying to have someone have +150 to every one of their stat points.
We came from Yaks Bend, so yeah we know what it is like to be totally shut out. It does suck. I totally agree with you that 150 stat bonus was way too much, especially for the folks in the lower tiers who are out manned in every BL. I (and just about everyone else in this thread) just want to see the stomp bonus returned to the way it was before so as to keep the Bloodlust area from becoming a complete dead zone.
Just another one of those features that worked out great and actually did what it was designed for but it got nerfed due to people not knowing how to adjust to it. Another round goes to the casual player and the blobbers…

They have given no logical reason as to why they want you to grind WvW rank on mutiple characters considering the max level progressions is around 900 levels (largest level accoutrement in game) it is silly.
Hell Spvp only goes up to rank 100 and is account bound…Yet the Anet devs just say ‘NO’ and expect that to be that. They haven’t gotten yet that if you want people to continue playing a video game you have to give them what they want, within reason of course.
Anet worked kitten the recent colour changes and more stuff that no one asked for… O.o
We played for a year and feel the same way. Not to 1 up your 4 months… But it’s a joke from the players perspective how a couple meaningless ranks and some seige mastery is all that has been implemented in a year. Laughable.
Yea.. Up until 4 months ago, I played long hours everyday which was probably 90% spent in WvW because it was fun. I just got tired from waiting patch after patch and nothing drastic being done to WvW. I got bored and it just felt like a grind. I was at least hoping that maybe if I stopped playing for somewhat a lengthy time that I could come back and be surprised but instead everything is just about exactly the same.
It’s not the same. There’s about 1/3 less people playing wvw or more.
no, they do not blind my eyes in any way, but rather they are just irritating to look at, it is kind of like that fly that buzzes around you, it wont kill me, but itll just irritate me til it goes away or I kill it. So to be considerate to those who are color blind i’m just asking there be an option to toggle colors back to original settings.

Also want the old colours back. Now it is much harder to see the difference between blue and green. Also a blue commander tag in a blue building isn’t very clear for me.
The old colours were relaxing, these are too bright. I am not enjoying looking at the minimap or map right now. Make it an option for the colour blind to go for the new colours.

They are ugly, no way around it. Original colours were much better. And that is all besides the point. Why is Anet changing totally random things in WvW and not the things we ask for like that better integrated commander options, guild commander icons, etc…..
It is frustrating to see them doing absolutely nothing we ask for, even if they are GREAT suggestions and they just keep adding random things to which we all have to adjust because they are heavily changing the meta.
does anyone know why they were changed in the first place? I cant say as I recall ever seeing someone complain about those symbol colors before, so why were they changed?

The new colors are really painful to look at, they’re just too bright.
Its actually against forum rules of conduct to create petitions..
But +1, don’t like the new colours. I find it pretty difficult to tell between green and blue now.
These colors are offensively awful.
tbh after 20 mins in wvw i had to quit.
checking the map every time i saw swords,with them bright colours started to hurt my eyes.
Would like to see the old colours back,but i doubt that will happen.
