In the next release we will adjust the way that world mega bosses award their loot. The current chests will stay lootable once per day per character, but each boss’s guaranteed rare item drop will be moved to a separate chest (visually similar to daily achievement reward chests) that can only be acquired once per day across an account.
Our intention with this change is to keep providing rewarding loot for world mega bosses while avoiding overwhelming participation in boss fights (and overwhelming the economy with rares) from players cycling through each character slot for each boss every day.
I strongly agree. Until I saw the reddit page, I didn’t even know that right click could target (because that’s really unintuitive… left click and tab work fine for targeting, and if you’re rotating the camera -shame if you’re using A and D- then it’s pretty unlikely that you can see what you want to attack. Hence turning the camera). But NOW I know that right click targeting has been the source of all my dropped targets.
Seriously in almost every fight I would just lose my target sometimes, and be completely confused. I thought it was a bug until now. Anet, please add this feature.
edit: my 2 cents, making right click target on release would be awful, since you can’t see the cursor >.>
I target something with left click and as I’m constantly moving the camera with right click, it’s constantly targeting things I don’t want targeted. I’d love it if ArenaNet disabled right click targeting or at least added an option for it, because it’s really annoying.
Suggestion: At the topic states, a toggle to disable it. A HUGE amount of people believe that simply making right click target on mouse release instead of mouse down, that it would fix the problem, but I still feel I would randomly target things. Example being when I target something, turn my camera just a little to get a different view, and release on a huge group of people (that I obviously do not want to be targeted.) Perhaps we could have an option for all 3?
Here is the Reddit thread (I would have posted here earlier but was unable) if anyone wants to read more feedback:

Map completion is for completing all the maps.
WvW maps are maps.
Crafting legendaries is designed to incorporate all aspects of the game, not just PvE.
I know there is a back slot that does not have many items to put in so I really hope they add cloaks/capes to the game. I have always enjoyed how they look and how they change the silhoutte of your character in other games. They would look great along with the awesome armors available in gw2. Being able to put guild emblems on them would make it even better!

Also could you guys look into sanctuary? Currently mobs and projectiles alike are passing it like its nothing.

After reading that post, I see there was NO change in battle contributions. For instance, I do a lot of support and lower dps than most of my group mates, hence, less rewards if any for contribution. But if I did not support them, we might wipe or not succeed in downing a Champion at all.
It would have been nice to see them include SUPPORT contributions in their calculation so that you were rewarded for your level of contribution not just dps/damage.
After reading reports in the loot issues thread, we spent more time investigating our rewards system. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we verified that all loot tables are indeed working correctly in the game. Since then, we continued receiving reports that there seemed to be an issue, so we extended our search to all systems that created opportunities for you to get items from loot tables. Here we found an issue that we were able to verify was consistent across everyone who reported problems:
The rules by which you qualify for credit for an event or for experience when killing a mob are different rules than those used to help determine if you qualify for loot. Some of these were set up to be unintentionally restrictive, and as such you could kill a creature with a lot of health (this was most noticeable on champions) and not qualify for loot, despite qualifying for all other credit.
For the February Flame & Frost: The Gathering Storm release we will be repairing this issue to ensure more players are capable of earning loot credit for kills. This should fix the issue such that you got credit for killing a champion, but received no loot from it. Once fixed, all champion mobs will correctly always drop 1 blue or better loot item, and all veterans will have a chance of dropping loot better than regular mobs as outlined in the November release. Please note, it is still possible to kill a creature and not do enough damage to qualify for loot (which is the only way you won’t get loot for a champion), it is also still possible for veterans to not drop loot at all, since they simply have better odds of dropping loot than normal creatures but no guaranteed drops.
On top of this, we’re also updating some of the loot in various areas of the game for the February release that should make specific areas more rewarding. We’ll cover this is in detail with the February release notes.
Thanks very much for all your feedback and reports, that information has proved incredibly useful!
Greetings,
If you read or post on our official forums, you may have noticed the +1 button next to each post. Recently, we have updated this system with more features and visibility for you, the players. You can find the full forum update notes here. This post is to familiarize you all with the new features in our +1 system and how they affect you.
Added a link to user profile pages which shows posts that a user has +1’d, ordered such that top-most is the most recent
Added a link to user profiles to show highly rated posts ordered descending by score
When visiting a user’s profile page, you can view all posts that user has +1’d starting with the most recent, or see all of their own posts that have been +1’d by others sorted descending by score.
Both of these options are opt-in, because we respect your privacy and don’t want to force you into sharing information you are not comfortable with sharing. As such, you may not see these links in other user profile pages immediately. You will always see these links on your own page, regardless of your settings.
To allow others to view these pages on your own profile, click on your display name in the upper right of the forum, then on the following page, click “Edit Profile”, check the last two boxes and click “Save changes”.
Popularity is divided between popular and very popular as well as per-thread and forum-wide
What this means is that there are two levels of popularity, categorized “popular” and “very popular”. Currently these are indicated by a thumbs-up icon that appears next to the +1 button. If a post is very popular, the thumbs-up earns a star that appears within said icon.
Our future plans include updating these indicators to something more visually striking. Until then, this is how you will know if a post has achieved popular status.
There are also two levels in which posts are gauged for popularity, on a per-thread basis and forum-wide. Forum-wide popularity takes into account +1s from within a set time period across the forum. Per-thread popularity takes into account all +1s in a thread. Visually, a forum-wide popular post will have a red underline beneath the thumbs-up icon.
Over the next few weeks, we will monitor thresholds against post-scores and make adjustments as we see is necessary to ensure accurate display of popularity indicators. Going forward, if you read a post and like it, press that +1 button. It’s how you let us, and other players, know that you liked what you read.

SPOILERS Ahead!!!
Hello everyone, I just wanted to talk about a character who is much hated, and perhaps rightly so.
You all know I’m talking about Trahearne, the wimpy scholar who knew things about Orr, and then received a sword and took over the orders and our story. ( He did not unite the orders, we did.) He does not look inspiring or talk inspiring, he just look like some guy who should be my Adviser at most. I would have been happier if it was some Famed hero, like a Charr or Norn, rather than an unknown Sylvari, which leads me to my next point.
I really expected Destiny’s Edge to be a major part of my story, but they were not, unfortunately, I was looking forward to working with them ( Apart from dungeons) I was really disappointed when I couldn’t
.
I would have been GLAD to have seen them lead the pact and me as commander, just not Trahearne. to most of the races, hes just a random guy who receives way too much attention. But the Destiny’s edge members, we know about.
I agree, in any game, the players wouldn’t be king or leaders and stuff and I’m okay with that, just not Trahearne, please! his lines are bland, self centered and boring.
At one point, he even says " It is clear that you are the primary target, but the attack is OBVIOUSLY meant for me. (Roughly).
Seriously? And then this woman calls me Trahearne’s right hand man, and another says that the chances of us killing the dragon are WAY too low, but we might be able to do it with Trahearne’s help!!
This is supposed to be my story, sure Marshal is a hard job and all, but it doesn’t mean Trahearne has to be so condescending and important, heck, it doesn’t mean it has to be Trahearne!!
The personal story in this game had a LOT of potential, but it steadily declined from level 50.. I would HATE to play second fiddle to Trahearne AGAIN if I wanted to create a new character… This is really a mood breaker for me

I know Legendary weapons are intended to be special, rare, and not something you should see on anyone and everyone. But, the stack of requirements and achievements needed to create one should end when it stops being a game and starts being a chore. Please take a good, hard look at each requirement for the Legendary weapons, and ask yourself: Are we rewarding honor, dedication, skill, and depth of immersion in the world and mechanics? Or are we merely rewarding grinding and farming for hours per day, and patience for RNG meta-game baloney?
Those of us who have done all the dungeons, finished our personal story, maxed our crafting, polished off 100% world completion, and even amassed a pile of skill points, karma, laurels, etc. — do we not deserve a Legendary? If the answer is no, then please do integrate more requirements which are actually fun, interesting, and worthwhile. Integrate gameplay and content — do not presume to tell me that people who simply put up with grinding for hours somehow deserve a mark of prestige beyond the rest.
- Larger Instances – One of the things holding back my guild from playing is nothing for the whole guild to do together, and progress as a team. 10-20 man “dungeons” would go a long way.
- Mounts – this would open up enormous customization potential for players, and would be a Gem store windfall.
- Diplomacy/Reputation – a way for players to earn favor among the various outposts in Tyria to unlock rewards and even more content.
- Player Housing – Full on, no-holds barred player housing system! Check out WildStar and RIFT for starters, plus legacy stuff such as EQ2 and Star Wars Galaxies
Off the top of my head… and to be clear these are suggestions for features, not “improvements” per se.
As far as actual improvements, I think we need better security, better performance, a whole bunch of UI refinement (player-addons would be nice) and mobile access to certain areas of the game.
1) return -useoldlauncher or give us some option to see the in-game login screen
2) first person camera
3) more economic infrastructure (face-to-face trading, cash-on-delivery mailing, ridiculou why we don’t have these in the first place)
4) optimized world-raid events, ie. shatterer, taquatl, whatever. people are dropping to terrible FPS on modern PCs here.
I have a couple.
- Please stop auto moving my characters on the character select screen. at least leave them where we first created them or let us order them ourselves alphabetically or something.
- Add titles to the three orders for each rank that you get. Only cosmetic fluff but it was disappointing when I discovered I got nothing for it. More titles in general would also be good.
- Waypoint costs need readjusting. A reduced cost for completing a zone you can travel to would be nice.
- Karma armour and weapons could be reduced a bit
- At least let us salvage karma weapons and vendors to get something useful from them rather than letting them go to waste.
- Some tooltips don’t update after being affected by traits. The mesmer shatters are one I can think of.
- Add a Suggestion Forum to avoid cluttering up this section
EDIT :
- Add a token collection tap in the bank. They clutter up the inventory and let us deposit them in there.
- Add coloured borders around items depending on their quality.
- Let us know who the party leader is and let us transfer leadership if possible.
- Option to sell back karma gear and weapons, dungeon armour and weapons if the wrong item was bought by accident.
- Add the option to auto swap town clothes when entering a city
- Link the city channels together so it’s more global.
- Add an LFG channel or something similar.
- Add a notifcation when an item sells on the trading post.
- Preview items on trading post.
- First person view
- Mass collapse / open in the collection tab
EDIT 2 :
- Add the trading post fee to the total selling value rather than having to manually do it. Might actually mean the economy could improve a bit.
- Dungeons need tweaking. Keep the challenge but graveyard zerging should have an alternative.
- Lower health of trash mobs and some damage. Boss health needs to be reduced before it just gets boring.
- More interactive encounters rather than tank and spank.
- Add difficulty options to the various options you can choose in dungeons i.e Easy, Medium, Hard and adjust the rewards accordingly.
- Jute! Need more Jute and wool etc
- Group join to WvWvW
~Charr Guardian~ – ~Norn Necromancer ~

First off, thanks for the great game ArenaNet! The level of polish at launch beats any other MMO launch in recent memory. I have enjoyed every minute of play times so far.
That said, there are a couple places where some improvement might be possible. So here are the things I would like to see given a little bit of love.
- Preview gear and weapons on the trading post. Ever since the trading post has come up I’ve been browsing it often for upgrades, but right now it is very difficult to predict how gear or weapons will render based solely on the icon.
- Load more characters on screen and/or load characters faster. This is fairly uncommon but can be devastating in WvW. Getting chased/killed by an invisible hate train of invaders is a bit frustrating.
- I’d like to see badges of honor treated as currency. I know this is probably impossible, but WvW basically has me constantly mashing the F button during combat.
- Helper NPCs in storyline quests should be more useful. I’m probably spoiled from the companion NPCs from another recent MMO title, but especially for vigil storyline quests I often have a small army of NPCs following me around and they feel like more of a hindrance most of the time. I’d like them to do a bit more damage and prioritize helping me a little more.
I’ve got more but I don’t want to make this seem like a hate thread. I really do love the game and these minor complaints do not make me any less happy to be playing.
Does anyone else have any suggestions? I’d like to see what other players are thinking as well.
