I like op ( it realy made me smile) saying ele is fine with might stacking when all it takes is knowing the rotations and in spvp D/D or D/F with hoel + battle ,ele can stack up 25 migh H24 with a basic rotation (but pvers think number of skills = skill full gameplay)

And complaining to engi witch stack 8 might stacks with 12 autos with a mele weapon (it takes some time) and people will run around in pvp.

Also rev is able to migh stack 12 mights a whole team for a fairly long duration without spending prebuff time and starting with his 50% energy and cap up to 24- 25 might with force runes on a Herald/shiro build during the fight.

And sadly necro needs those might stacks thats, why all our strong builds run spite on necro in pvp ( i wich necro wasn’t forced in a niche trait line)

If you take close attention to all classes they have fairly easy acces to might stacking , and might stacking is actualy needed in pvp for bruiser builds. (and scraper is designed to be a bruiser type so yeah he got acces to might.)

This realy is refreshing news and i think more interaction with devs (not especialy through forums) is something players realy wan’t. Knowing what’s going on , why you did that change, Even just say “Hello , i’m reading this”, etc … =)

I’m going for #2,5 , it’s simple & strait forward.

You know how much time you’ll have to work, taking out of consideration RNG , and if you are lucky you spend less time doing the stuff. (—> never get dissapointed)

And you know people had to work to get that stuff , not just random looted it at the first run. (DoA system of gw1 was great.)

I feel like it’s more like in real life , if you work hard you get what you wan’t … you are lucky you can get even more.

The down side? It’s less casual frendly.

What is so funny about this change , even if it’s a hard nerf those who used to run keys will continue to run keys cause it’s still the best way to use ToK.

I’d like to know when the reset occurs .
I’d like to know what’s the actual drop rate of black lion chests / keys.
I’d like to know what anet will give us to spend all those Tomes.
i’d like to know how many players did key farm and how many players play the game.
i’d like to know what was the actual impact on the market of key farming.
i’d like to know what the patch is going to change.
i’d like the community to have acces to all statisticaly usefull data.
i’d like to be able to consult the data on this changes.
I’d like more transparency from arena net.
i’d like … i should stop here, it’s pointless…

What if… Keys were a PvP track reward?

Nice Idea! Please add them as a dungeon completion reward also (for those of us who do not play PvP).

Change the dungeons to have all paths active at once and it all has to be completed | Vanquished | Cleared for the end chest to contain a Black Lion Key XD

That way it takes as much or more time as a low level key farm, removes server strain from character creations, improves dungeons so that are not “run” but Vanquished (like gw1 Vanquishing reward), improves dungeons to be more desirable.

Only if you complete all paths of a dungeon.

I would be happy with that

i’d gladly run statistic tests for days if they wan’t ( R is ready whenever they want).

+ i’ll prob put my company lawyer on Anet’s back or at least ask him if it’s worth it. Beacause they refused to pay back my 10 € slot i just bought (for key farming) a bit less than a weak before this patch hit us (never used it) . To me it’s embezzelment. W8 & See

@ Jana are you there ? ( i had to change the last word of this sentence cause it was moderated…)

How can you compare somthing that ususaly took 20 min to some one playing pve H24 ?
If you actualy had a clue of what you where talking of you’d know a pvp player gets like 1/10 or maybe 1/100 of the drops you get in pve. And no you don’t kill stuff in pvp It’s pvp dude players don’t stack in corners for you to loot them and even if they did they don’t loot stuff. The point is the only moment we actualy could kill stuff was during we wait for Queues wich we can’t but that’s another thread.

And for those T5 into T6 we’d already have to at least get as much as the tomes we get/have.

And no the point of this thread is showing arenanet that a slight improvement in key drops is not going to change anything to the impact the nerf has. If you had a bit of statistic at school it shouln’t be to difficult to understand why.(unless the drop rate increase is huge)

@ jana and if there is nothing left to do (sorry but i can’t complete maps only once and finished all my stories.) AND EVEN SO dude the time it takes to make a scrap is still ridiculous for a skin.

GO OUT AND KILL STUFF in pvp ? you know the thing in the mist you can’t get out anymore or you can’t get into a match. so you’r saying all pvp players are forced to play pve when you, for nothing in the world are forced to play pvp (expet maybe 2 days for the balth backpack).

I personaly made 3 keys runs in 3 years lets agree it’s not huge…. , but it was THE ONLY WAY to make tomes usefull i have over 4 k shards more than 1 k tomes … and when i decide to actualy pay 10€ for a slot (last weak) to actualy use those tomes … they cut the grass under our feets. And i want to point out it’s been said more than once key farm was working as intended for the personal story update patch … NO sorry NO i can’t agree with that.

NB : “I’ve dropped 5 BL keys so far, since I’m playing” GZ only 25 more to go to get a ticket

I have played this game since launch , i only droped 3 or 4 keys in more than 3 years lets assume they increase the drop rate by larges amounts and you’ll be able to drop one key / month.

That would mean 12 keys / year , right !?
And you have to get 30 keys to be sure to get one ticket (10 scraps)

pay 31€88 to have the 1 ticket skins (if you buys them directly by 25+5 keys at once)

OR

Pay 46€88 To have the 1 ticket skins (if you pay them key per key)

-> And they would take more time to craft than a legendary skin. (if you wan’t to make them by your self)

@ Just If you calculte the accurate price of what you get into Black lion chest , you basicaly wouldn’t spend 5 times 15 mins per day to get that key after a weak , compared of what you could get playing the game.

But hey i was just asking the rare drop rate =)

And because something as a low chance to occur it shouldn’t be implemented ?
(That’s like saying people who have mucoviscidosis shouln’t have a chance for a treatmeant because the chance some one actualy get hit by the deasease is low.)

@ just a flesh you only have verry limited rewards from custom arenas. i think it’s 5 times so if the drop rate is as low as in pve … they’d be better to farm champions.

It doesn’t change at all if you have champ bag giving a key or a pvp reward bag (you actualy get less in pvp than train farming champions)

It’s not about having tomes or not it’s having the chance to drop keys in bags. And pve does give tomes btw like the daily rewards tracks also does.

Well now i understand why the world goes wrong with such close minded answers …

So basicaly if i wan’t to enjoy the game i have to craft something i don’t find beautiful and i have to do things i don’t like. Sorry but to me that’s sound the oposite of what a vidéo game is supposed to be (entertaining).

So lets resume Your thoughts : "Stop playing guild wars if you ain’t playing pve , go play a Moba if you wan’t rewards in pvp. " That’s it no ?

Nb : Buy them, but how with having to spend basicaly a full day to get what a dungeon rush gives you in 1 hour ??? (But let’s not talk about pvp rewards , just focus on the thread)

How thanks : you mean the 3 or 4 k shards i have on my account and what do i promote in the mystic forge cause i sell most of my junk ? … I don’t like pve , i don’t wan’t to pve , i don’t want to play traders online , i don’t wan’t to play craft gears.

GW was initialy a pvp game (1rst one) THEY sold this as an ESL game i wan’t to play pvp and get skins like someone playing another aspect of the game. Doesn’t that sound Fair ?

Comme on, I have about 600 tomes , i only play pvp and i can’t buy skins because we don’t get much money in pvp … but i still could make keys to get black lion chests and get some skins like that.

NOPE NERF !

Can we at least exange 30 tomes for one key ? Because leveling up in pvp just makes no sense, i start lvl 80 anyway . It was the only pve junk i could make use of spending once a weak one or 2 hours to make some keys. (Tomes now = Bloodstone dust —→ Trashbin ! )

Vitality is a counter to conditions and 8 k burn on 2 sec …. no way or your just facetanking a burn guard without using one dodge.

simply vitality decrease condi burst effectivness and allow to presure back where a non vitality build would have died.

wherever you find it usefull or not is not my problem , btw if you look in pvp most ppl run marauder ( extra vitality) instead of zerk to prevent those 1 shot burst (condi or power).

BTW most complains are about burning (why din’t you call the thread : “nerf burn plz”)

Counters to condi damage : Vitality , Resistence , Condi cleanse , condi duration reduction , anti-condition mechs (diamond skin, zerker stances , etc ) , blinds / evades / invuln.

Playing Both, condi and zerker builds , i find both to be equaly difficult to play and they both have their counters.

What makes this game feel fustrating —> PASSIVE PROCS.

According to me , mobs are still too stupid and tend to stay in AOE. Their damage is fine.

Nb: I managed to kill all minor champions alone . OP i think it’s more of a L2P issue here.(sorry)

1) Would it be possible to Add water into these deep canyons and give us some mushrooms and a path to get back up to the surface (through caves)?

—> It could give more depth to the maps and there would be more to explore, even if there are only fishes and vines in it. ( I personally, don’t like water areas but i can imagine some do.)

2) Could you give us a Toy / Tonic / Tools wardrobe ?

—> QOL

3) Could we have a “Brawler” content ,a bit like the “Queen’s Gauntlet” event, in different places of the jungle ?

—> Solo-player challenging content. (When you desire to play a bit alone.)

1) Blood seems good right now and death could be good especialy for condition builds. But the main problem to death magic is condition builds are forced to run sigil mastery and thus leave no room for the death magic trait.

2) Power builds are pottent , i’d like to see how they perform in a more competitive scene.

3) Condition builds are realy niche , and are strong against condition damage dealers and the weakness uptime helps in duels. But they lack presure compared to other condition builds in normal situation. Our life force regen is highly increased and we now have acces to à lot of stunt breakers wich help a lot on our survability but we don’t benefit a lot from dhumfire while mitigating with life force(losing a lot of presure if you start spaming Lifeblast.)

What i’d like to see is some other options to reliably put presure , and having the option to invest traits into death magic and not behing forced into spite.

4) Master of corruption is realy a waste & I think our heals could have some love. (personal feeling)

5) I din’t try minions , I don’t like AI based stuff and RnG

Really cool stuff! That could’ve been implemented very easily!

Only thing I don’t really like is your change to Parasitic. Even now, with 5%, it really does barely any healing unless you have 5 targets and Epidemic. Then it’s around 200 hp/s, which, honestly, isn’t great. Especially since it doesn’t and won’t heal in Shroud.

I’d like to keep that 10% because that could at least be noticed in regular PvP combat. And because that would heal only outside of Shroud, Siphons would still have that unique value (healing through Shroud).

I’ll later include it in the reddit post, if you don’t mind.

Yeah i’m ok with that i’m just unsure of how much it healed so i put tiny numbers there , but like you said these are numbers and can be changed any time

Yeah. And as they mentioned, Consume Conditions is now the starting healing skill for Necromancers. Interesting that they would give new players a starting skill that applies 10 stacks of Vulnerability to themselves. “Oh oh. Need to heal. There we go…hey…what the..? I JUST consumed conditions – why do I have 10 stacks of a condition on me.”

Seems to be a poor design.

I think It’s ok , if Coco is a corruption but i’d rather see it give a bit poison or tourment or whathever than 10 stack of vuln. If you can gime feed back on what i’have done above , that’s cool man.

I Realy enjoy :

1) The Qol Changes to minions
(I realy hate playing AI builds , but i understand people playing them).

3) CC Shelter treatment and the fact other heals have to be buffed.

4) Most of the weapons fixes.

5) Corruption and spectral changes are good.

6) I see Good ideas in trait changes , some are definately to strong , and some i dislike.
(I realy like active play —> if you do something after a fear you get a bonus for doing that etc.)

Nb : I realy ’d like to see terror and master of terror merge together.

1) Blood magic looks good.
2) Death magic looks good.
3) Focus skill range increased to 1200
4) Blood is Power: This skill now applies 8 stacks of might for 8 seconds to nearby allies. (i’m sad it decrease might duration to 8 sec)
5)* Unholy Feast*: Instead of removing a boon, this skill now converts a boon to a condition on struck foes.
6) Siphoned Power: Striking a foe below 50% health grants 2 stacks for might for 10 seconds. (1s ICD)

Now the “Meh” Changes.

1) Lich form: reduced duration 15 sec + 15% LF.

—> If it’s true it can be traited to get a 144 sec CD instead of 180 and the 15% life force gain is huge it’s still a huge nerf if you remeber the times it lasted 30 sec with a old stab buff.


2)Plague form : inflicts self bleeding.

—> Not a huge damage dealer here 2 stacks of bleedings + trait conditions.
but basicaly it’s a nerf exept maybe if traited.


3) Spiteful Talisman: Reduces focus skill recharges by 20%. Increase damage to foes with no boons by 5%.

—> remains bad.


4) Rending Shroud: While in shroud apply 3 stacks of vulnerability for 10 seconds to foes around you.

—> drasticaly changed the max vuln you can get out of it. (6 would have been to much 3 is definatly low)


5) Unholy Fervor: Reduces recharge of axe skills by 20% and deal 10% more damage to vulnerable foes.

—> still bad


6) Soul Comprehension: Increases life force gain from nearby deaths by 20%.

—> Why keep that ?


7) Weakening Shroud: Critical hits inflict weakness for 5 seconds (10s ICD). When you enter shroud cast Enfeeble on nearby foes (Enfeeble is functionally identical to the dagger skill Enfeebling Blood.)

—> ICD Entring Shroud.

Hey folks,

I just watched the NEW necromancer trait changes and basicaly i feel like it’s worse than the first changes.

I’ll start with the Huge nerfs (Heal & Condition traits.):


1) Consume conditions : 10 stack of vulnerability / 30 sec CD

—> Now put’s you in combat when healing.
—> Longuer CD (unless traited).
—> 10% more damage on necro + more if traited.


2) Mark of Blood: This skill has been unsplit and now applies 2 stacks of bleeding for 8 seconds in all game modes.

—> Staff is already a verry low damaging weapon for condi builds , nerf soft cc and remove a stack of bleeding is the way to go.


3) Lingering Curse: Gain 150 condition damage while wielding a scepter. The base duration of all scepter conditions is increased by 100%.

—> The first version of this skill was probably to strong but had nice synergy with dhumfire.
—> Now it gives no more synergy with other traits , the condition durations on 2 skills (scepter 1 & 2 only) with the soft CC nerf on move skills makes it a pure pve trait.


4)Terror:

—> Doesn’t benefit from lingering curse after behing moved to master.
—> Now you can’t couple it with Path of corruption —> huge nerf for any pvp build.
--> The fear duration traits (SR) still wan’t you to sacrifice life force sustain and can’t be coupled with spectrals.


5) Dhumfire : Shroud skill 1 inflicts 1 stack of burning for 3 seconds when it hits.

—> Without lingering curse this trait becomes obsolete stacking 2 stacks of burning max in death shroud compared to 5 with the previous lingering curse. (higer numbers with reaper shroud but basicaly affects the trait in the same way.)
