Another option would add that the phantasmal can inflict confusion (2x Confusion 6s) and retaliation (3s) with the trait “The Prestige”, apart from the other benefits granted of the trait, or just inflict confusion (1x Confusion) with 1x burn.

¡¡¡ Please, no nerf Mage phantasmal, put it as it was before please !!! Inflict 4x confusion is much better than 1x burn.

The confusion is the basis of condition mesmer, this phantasmal is the unique best of condition to support mesmer confusion, and with redesign the future update of confusion, it will be much better and more practical. We have no other phantasmal that inflict confusion in land combat, only that.

Think about it, will bring no benefit 1x burn the mesmer because it is not supplemented with any trait that makes synergy with burn, but if with confusion.

It does not have to cause a real burn the attack of phantasmal, it may be an illusory fire of mesmer that confuses enemies, or a bolt of fire illusion that confuses and torments, or also a bolt burning and confuses the enemy.

For example:

Mage Phantasmal

- Create an illusion that confuses foes and grants fury to allies. (4x Confusion 3s and 1x Fury 3s).

or

-Create an illusion that confuses and burn foes. (1x Confusion 6s and 1x Burn 6s).

or

-Create an illusion that confuses and torment foes. (2x Confusión 3s and 2x Torment 3s).

Please, thinks about it, If this phantasma inflict burn not have synergy with our traits, lose utility off that hand weapon, especially with scepter and confusion condition. If it’s posible, back to phantasmal redesign mage, but at least inflict confusion, it is necessary to support mesmer confusion damage, please.

Burning and Fury only~

Unsure of the stacks, but if it’s only one burning that’d be a shame[since we had 4 Confusion stacks before]. Though might be fine since Burning is quite powerful. Fury might also be useful for our condi builds for condi-on-crit minors in Dueling.

oh no …. ¡¡¡¡ I hope they put as it was before, or to increase the burn for 2 stack, although I prefer 1 x confusion and 1 x burn, or 4x confusion. U.U

Hi is very interesting suggestion you propose, I focused Suggest some more thoughts to the confusion, because i think the mesmer needs to draw more this condition in its favor, because it is a condition typical of mesmer.

- Blinding befuddlement:

  • Applies one stack of Confusion (5s) when you Blind a foe. No ICD.

or

  • Applies 3 stack of Confusion (5s) when you Blind a foe. 5s ICD

-Malicious sorcery:

  • Increased condition Confusion and Torment damage (only Confusion and Torment) while wielding a scepter (15% extra damage). Reduces recharge on scepter skills (20%).

or

  • Increased damage condition (condition 300 extra damage) and attack speed (33%), while wielding a scepter. Reduces the recharge on skills scepter (20%). It would be a Grandmaster of illusion trait.

or

  • While holds the scepter, “Ether Clone” inflict Confusion (3s) and “Confusing Images” inflict double Confusion (7s) (1 extra on each hit, the total would be 10 Confusion). Increased damage condition (200 extra damage) and reduces recharge on scepter skills (20%).

-Confusing Enchantments:

  • Glamour skills inflict Confusion (3 Confusion 5s) to foes who enter or exit their areas.

or

  • Glamour skills inflict Confusion (1 Confusion 5s) in the area in each pulse. Each pulse is unblockable.

New trait suggestion

-Frustrations confusing (Trait Grandmaster Domination)

  • Your Confusion over your enemies, inflict damage every 3s if the enemy does not use any skills (receives damage calculated confusion). When an enemy tries to hit and misses his attack (only when blindness or avoided) inflict Confusion (3s).

-Repentance confusing (Trait Grandmaster Caos)

  • You get Retaliation (5s) when enemies with confuses hit you (50%)

-Confusing Strikes (Trait Dueling Adept Major)

  • Critical hits have a chance (30%) to inflict Confusion (5s).

-Confusing distractions (Trait Dueling Master)

  • Apply confusion when you interrupt a foe (4 Confusion 8s).
    *It is an exact clone warrior trait “Distracting Strikes”. The mesmer must to get it.

A possible redesign of Confusion

  • Confusion inflicts damage over time and stacks in intensity, if the victim to active a skill, inflict deals double damage each time the affected target begins.

Hello, this is my favorite phantasmal mesmer, and i have much experience with it, because I always use (i play mesmer confusion), and what you really need is to increase the velocity of the projectile, really bounce as many allies as enemies, because sometimes bouncing projectiles, but did not complete the maximum number of bounces, and moreover, will increase the retaliation based in 5s and 20s as the ghostly shield recharge.

Developability give the phantasmal would be op because it has a trait that cleans conditions.

Fix this somehow please! At the very least make it useful vs. single targets by making it apply 3 stacks, but better yet would be to remove the CD on it and simply cut it’s base duration to 2s if you’re worried about a return of the Glamor AoE Confusion junk in WvW.

Anet, while you’re working on Confusion for Mesmers, please don’t forget:

-CoF Shatter – Add 1s to base duration here as well

-Illusionary Retribution – Again, add 1s base duration

-Confusing Combatants – GM Minor? Really? Make it 5s base duration and 2 stacks of

-Confusion. (Or replace it if you’re worried about Clone Death builds. It’s useless as it is now, and really is worse then all of our Adept Minors even!)

The confusion is broken for mesmer, basic need longer duration, this feature should be. As an exclusive trait for mesmer, increased confusion damage is feasible only for mesmer. There should be no problem, help a lot to build mesmer scepter / torch or build confusion. A trait should exist so from now, after the nerf confusion, the confusion is broken mesmer.

The warrior and engineer this confusion well as this, pairs well with his other skills, but the mesmer will need more support in the confusion, is the main condition, and needs more damage with that.

An increase of 25% damage, it would be more feasible for mesmer confusion, since the nerf confusion is 50% for all the mesmer lost much ¿why not increase only half damage nerf confusion exclusively for the mesmer? There are many solutions for this. the proposed is viable.

To me I grand master trait " Migraine occurs"

Your confusion damage is increased by 15% and more when an elusive enemy, you receive double the damage of your confusion.

Another trait grand master " Wastrel´s Demise "

Your confusion causes damage per second to your enemy confused. The enemy takes double damage for every second of this confusion by not using any skills.

Damage confusion per second:

(0.05 * Condition Damage) + (0.5 * Level) + 2.5 per stack per second
(0.05 * Condition Damage) + 42.5 per stack per second at level 80

I kind of lost it when you suggested the prestige cd be reduced to 20, which would give a 16 second cd when traited. Do you realize how ridiculous that would be?

It need not be ridiculous, would give more possibilities with the scepter. It is your opinion and not that it has to be true. It is a suggestion that it might be possible or not.

Domination – XII Confounding Suggestions

Inflict 5 confusión whenever you interrupts a target. Increase confusion damage.

– Increase 6% confusion damage.
– 5 Confusion 8s

This is a similar version to trait “Distracting Strikes” of warrior, but much stronger because it is great master trait. No need daze and stun, want more damage condition and more likely to cause confusion.

Hello, here I put some suggestions that could improve the mesmer in damage condition against berserker.

Ilusionary Riposte – Off hand Sword

Block your foe and inflict 5 bleeding, create an illusion when attacked.

The Prestige – Torch

Should be reduced recharge to 20 seconds, and when
disapper in a cloud of smoke, blinding nearby foes, have three
seconds stealth, but only when you are in stealth, a new skill appears
in which you can switch burning nearby foes. No when reapper three
seconds later of stealth.

Phantasmal Mage – Torch

Should be reduced recharge to 20 seconds

Confusing Images – Scepter

Activation time should be reduced 1/2 or 2 seconds.

Trait

Domination – Master VIII Confusing Enchantments

Bewitched skill cause 3 confusion to foes who enter or exit their areas.
No 1 confusion.

Illusions – Master IX Blinding Befuddlement

Cause 3 confusion when you blind a foe. No 1 confusion.

Hello I am a big fan of mesmer from guild wars 1. My suggestions for new skills and traits of the mesmer.

New Trait:

Trait Domination XIV – Watrel´s Demise

Your confusion hurt when your enemies are not attacking or using a skill.
(The damage done by the confusion thus 1xconfusion would be calculated for 2xbleeding. So if the enemy has 5xconfusion and does not use any skill, the enemy would receive 10xbleeding in the second it does nothing).

Trait Illusion XIV – Backfire (Bonus Feedback – Glamour)

All enemies within “Feedback” suffer confusion and all the allies get retaliation.
