Guys the only problem is the lack of build diversity.
If you take the good one, then guardians are “in a good spot”. But if you choose all the useless traits that we have, guardians are weaker than a ranger.
In WvW, guardians are the best front liners because they have personal/group sustain, DPS and hard CC. Moreover they have the best heal in the game (compared to War who haven’t any panic button except endure pain which takes a slot for a shout or an other stance).
IMO we should just asking for a rework off ALL the useless traits. I invite you to watch our videos in WvW and you will see that a guardian are “in a good spot” WITH THE ONLY VIABLE BUILD in WvW.
@Lason Yep but can you fight with your own guildmate in EoTM? no^^
I just ask if it could be possible to add 5player in custom arena, then guilds could train or even invite other guilds to srimm instead of waiting for a good matchup to find guilds who wants to GvG ect…
Why can’t we just use arena as a practice ground when we are a WvW guild?
I think it’s lame to split spvp players and WvW player (fight oriented one).
We do love to fight in WvW but arena could be a wonderful tool to train some mechanics/automatism . Nevertheless 10v10 doesn’t help a lot cause 15v15 is the most common type of battle we do (in GvG mostly).
Just add 5 player per team for custom arena, that’s it.
I was wondering if you could adjust player number in custom arena from 10 to 15.
Why? because GW2 is a social game with guilds and sometimes (/troll) we are more than 10 in a guild
Custom arena should be a place where guilds are training their strategy/coordination BUT 10v10 isn’t helping plus we don’t have our WvW stuff in the arena.
So, to conclude, add 5 people to custom arena could make people play with this tool which is currently a bit useless.

Communal Defenses? The new “master” trait with 20sec CD which share aegis when you block?
Which means that if 2 guardians have this trait, the first one will force the second one to trigger so this is completely unpredictable and useless because we have only f3 to give aegis and the passive trait (when you are under 50% health) and the shout (who use this shout??).
This trait could be a minor one, nobody would take it.
Am I the only one to see that is THE WORST (master) TRAIT EVER for guardian?
Edit: Second worst trait ever (Power converted in condition damage is 1st).
GW2 beta: Guardian WvW build : 0/5/30/30/5.
GW2 29/03/2014: Guardian WvW build: 0/0/30/30/10 (ty for purging flames).
There is NO build diversity for guardians in WvW. Even with the new traits.

Does it enable me to know my output/intput heal? no
So? What’s the point if APIs are only usefull for TP, event details or [insert useless info here]?

Reduction Dommage is calculated that way : ((Armor-1836)/Armor)x100.
Example: You have 2400Armor : ((2400-1836)/2400)x100=24% Reduction Dmg.
Now you decide to add 100 toughness: 2500 Armor = 27% Reduction Dmg.
See? 3% Reduction dmg gained for 100 toughness.
Now you have 3200 armor : ((3200-1836)/3200))x100=43% Reduction Dmg.
You decide to add 100 toughness: 3300 armor : ((3300-1836)/3200))x100=44% Reduction Dmg.
See? 1% Reduction dmg gained for 100 toughness.
Remember that 100 toughness isn’t worth the same at 2600 than at 3200.

Create a GvG map >>> No more guild in WvW >>> no more lag
Retaliation could only return a percentage like 10% of damage received?
Ok let’s take an example : i’m a gurdian with 3k4 armor and i’m often on retaliation.
I usually take around 100-300 dmg per hit and sometime 2-3k from thief or elem.
For now, retaliation does around 270 per hit (with full stack of might) and with your system it could do around 20 dmg per hit.
That is just ridiculous dmg ^^ I’m not sure if you have noticed but they reduced retaliation’s dmg by 40% in WvW
So maybe it’s difficult to take dmg when u cast a skill but it’s fair because you are not in range regarding the melee cell.
You have to deal with it and include hp in your build.

If you support this idea, thumb up this post to show devs that there is a lot of people who want this game format.
I propose to post all your suggestions here concerning GvG’s future organisation. I’ll try to update the post as much as possible.
This is how I see it :
1.THE MAP
A special GvG map where GM and/or officer can register their guild.
This could be like a gladiator arena with few hills to simulate plain fights.
2.THE FIGHTS
The guild picks a leader. He picks 20/25 people plus replacements among guild’s members (recruited since at least one week to avoid abusive behavior).
PLAYERS WILL USE THEIR OWN GEAR.
There will be between 5 and 7 rounds(Bo5 or Bo7) in a death-match mode.
To win guilds will have to eliminate all fighters. Those who will die will be teleport in a"starting area" to avoid abusive rez.
A feature /resign will allow leader to forfeit a round.
There will be no armor penalty.
3.PREPARATION FOR COMBAT
Guilds will have 4 minutes to prepare themselves in the starting area.
A merchant will provide free “GvG food” which is actually normal food but it will last during the whole GvG.
Moreover teams could obtain 25 stacks per player (thing to discuss).
There will be 1 minute between each round and a chat between leaders if they need to communicate to start rounds faster.
Skill’s cool down will be reset each round.
4.THE INTERFACE
Everyone in the team will see every health bar of his own team.
If a player is down, a visible announcement will appear for his own team. Example:“TataYoyo’s down !”.
As well, If a player dies : “TataYoyo’s dead!”.
The score will be displayed for both guild in the middle top of the sreen.
Each leader will be well visible by his own team which means change his size and his color for example. The other team will not be able to see it.
A color will be assigned to each team to a better visibility.
5.MATCHMAKING AND LADDER
For the 10/15 first matches, guilds will fight randomly with Bo5 format. Then an ELO will be given to each guild.
This ELO will allow guilds with same level to fight with Bo7 format.
This will draw up an official ranking list.
Moreover a non ranked mode will be set up for training only.
6.SPECTATORS
No E-sport without spectators ! Every single match will be listed via a dedicated NPC in Lion’s Arch.
Everybody will be able to watch those matches within minutes.
Moreover Guilds will be able to see those matches later in a “GvG” tab in guild menu.
To finish, best matches should be broadcast on the official GW2 website.
