Guys, I am scared. Help. 30 second recharge and applies self vulnerability.
On the side note:
Master of Corruption: Reduces recharge of corruption skills by 33% but causes corruption skills to apply additional conditions to you when cast. (Condition applied varies per skill.)
So…I could possibly fear myself after healing? Haha…yeah, I am scared what could happen in PvP now…someone hold onto my arms and calm me down with some encouraging words.

Profession Specialization
- Each profession can master a new specialization that grow the profession to something new like a secondary profession.
- Example: Rangers able to master druid abilities and become a druid. With druid they can use staff weapon and have access to a new heal skill, a new elite skill, new utility skills and new profession mechanics that change the way you play.
- Example: Necromancer & Greatsword. New specialization for necro that allow them to use the Greatsword weapon.
- We will tell you about each specialization between now and xpac launch.

And Sylvari :P My main necromancer is a Sylvari so, heh.
Would be nice to see Greatsword introduced if the new expansion does come out. Possibly on Pax? What do you guys think?
Not the first thread to start this, but Greatsword sounds like a lot of fun (after what most players found out with Marjory). What are some of thoughts on how you would like the Greatsword to perform for Necromancers if it does become a reality?
One thing for sure in my opinion is the lack of cleave and DPS Necromancers have in PvE that could be fixed with the new Greatsword (Dagger itself isn’t enough still I think). Maybe even something that provides a small boon(s) on the side when using Greatsword?
As for PvP, maybe a bit more mobility and ways to escape when using Greatsword?
Let me know what you guys think if you have any. I would be happy to read them. Hopefully all our thoughts and insights on what good can come out of this (making Greatsword a reality) can encourage ArenaNet to really make this happen (they are probably already working on it and that we don’t know it yet. Who knows?)
Just wanted to add something off the side that trying to improve matchmaking by setting up certain skill caps can cause problems with queue time…but I am sure something could be done to fix this, hopefully.
I started playing unranked queue thinking things might have gotten better from just regular hotjoin- something I can play when taking a break from ranked. In terms of player activity, yes- things have gotten better. I haven’t seen any leavers or people who AFK in middle of game (for whatever reason). No more ‘auto-balance’ getting in the way in middle of playing.
But few things that still exists that are very frustrating from time to time with this new unranked queues:
1 – Matchmaking. Most often I get queued up against Premade groups as a PUG group. Either that or just about every match I play is very one sided.
2 – Communication. Probably the biggest issue of them all. No one really talks, not even map pinging to indicate for help. Something is needed to encourage players to communicate more often when playing in a PUG match.
3 – Inexperience. This is to be expected, but this goes back to the first issue I mentioned where matchmaking needs to be improved a lot better still.
I know a lot of things I said can’t be helped at most times. Most people come in unranked matches inexperienced or not to just have fun or doing so to get better with PvP in this game. But I wish something more could be done to make the PvP experience feel ‘fun’ by finding a way that people interact better to perform well in game. Skill level comes with research and playing the game often (map awareness, timing, skill builds, etc), but communication I feel is a whole another thing.
Let me know what others think…could be just me but unranked queue has been not very fun for me at the moment. Big skill gap differences and no communication still remains a big issue for me. Will just stick back to other things and avoid unranked queue for a while. Maybe I am stressing out too much on something that isn’t that big of a deal. Sorry if it has been with this thread.

My name is Aseity and I currently play actively on my Necromancer and Mesmer. I am somewhat still a bit ‘new’ to PvP in Guild Wars 2 at the moment, but have played few TPvP games to know how it runs.
Not much ‘professional’ records ever made on Guild Wars 2 PvP yet, but I have always been deeply into PvP in general when it comes down to MMORPGs, especially World of Warcraft. I was above 2300 MMR in the last three expansions (in a row) for 3v3 and 2200+ in RBGs.
May sound very off topic, but why am I mentioning this? I mention of somewhat of a high record in another MMORPG to assures you that I, as a player:
- Follow and listen to instructions very well.
- Communicates at best.
- Is willing to learn, and learns fast.
- Pays good attention to cooldowns, animation sets, crowd control chains, etc.
- Always think positive.
- Try to be better every game played.
- Plays with the intentions to outplay. 200% of the effort.
So, if you are willing to take me in- knowing I am still somewhat new to PvP in Guild Wars 2, yet have high experiences in PvP for MMORPGs, do PM me in game mail or simply reply to this thread.

As far as the builds go, I play many builds- ranging from Coniditionmancer to Powermancer, as well as Minion Master for my Necromancer. For my Mesmer, I often just go straight up Power build in many different variety, depending on the situation (GS-Scepter/Pistol, GS-Sword/Pistol, GS-Sword/Focus, and GS-Staff).
I finally finished the event chain without getting kicked of the map after 11 attempts…

Update-
People saying on chat whenever the server kicks everyone off the map, you lose every loot and achievement you’ve been getting during the event…
…not happened to me yet but it is for some people.
It just happened again…everyone got kicked out for the 4th time at Frostgorge Sounds…go there yourself. Go read the chat.
I just love how ArenaNet kicks EVERYONE in area by restarting server every 3-5 minutes and ruins EVERYTHING in middle of doing event.
People on chat kittened off. I know things like this are expected on launch date but this is like…beyond what I imagined.
Someone just said on chat, ArenaNet is aware of this ‘stalled’ issue with every event in Iron Marches and is working to fix right now.
Found a small solution…with this whole ‘mega server’ thing going on, some servers have certain event(s) bugged. Log out to character select screen then log back in- hoping you join a different one where the event isn’t bugged…it’s what I did at least and worked.
But yeah…they need to fix this so people don’t stress out.
A lot of people out here right now…and none of us can progress because the flamethrower isn’t spawning for like…how long? An hour?
Please fix. People going crazy on chat.
