^lol? You only swap to shield when you need it

Same starts in terms of Power and Crit dmg but the difference is Precision/Vit. Which one do you guys prefer? I’m considering of getting Valkyrie.

My suggestion is go play Engineer

I find defense spec warriors extremely strong. At least in PvP/WvW. As the game progresses and people understand other classes and how to double tap out of hundred blades you will see longer SPvP fights that requires coordination to kill. Killing one 1v1 would be harder and teams will start giving up easy damage for survability and out playing the enemy in a long term fight. Killing with coordination that requires a stun into a quick burst or some form of team play.

Right now in SPvP and WvW warriors NEED to have 30 defense for Defy Pain and Last Stand or else they just melt too fast. I’ve ran a warrior with 32K HP in WvW and run into tons of people and just dance around them without worrying about death.

Doesn’t happen at level 80

Mace/Shield is EXTREMELY OP. It basically has 5seconds stun and another 6 seconds of block with this just weapon set. In PvP I always put on my mace/shield unless I’m certain I can stun and kill with 100B.

People just love to see big numbers more.

Hello! I’m a lv80 warrior and do a lot of hardcore PvE dungeon farming (12hours a day) for tokens with a guild and the party has a regular guardian.

Warriors are like thieves but a lot stronger. We can bring the same amount of damage as a thief but bring double the win. We have Rez Banner which is extremely strong and can prevent party wipes and keep the party going in case of that one mistake which will happen sooner or later. We have increased survability- in case my guardian falls I can always off tank and kite for as long as it is needed. Thieves and other classes cannot do this. We also have extreme damage and that is the most important “statistic” you bring to the raid. All around statwise the warrior is extremely strong (higher HP pool and base stats compared to other classes)

Above I mentioned that we bring something “different” to the raid group but we fall out in other departments. Mainly utility- warriors are like a big blunt swords we have tons of “win buttons” like Frenzy, Endure Pain, 100B but lack synergy with self and team. Every other class will “out utility” you- and utility plays a very very big roll in this game (Why are we calling guardians and mesmers OP? Because of the amount of utility they bring to the battlefield). Another extremely important thing is that you can NEVER out tank a guardian because the aggro mechanic causes guardians to ALWAYS pull the boss away from you even after doing tons of damage to it.

To sum it up,

Advantages:
We have tons of “Win buttons” Frenzy, Endure pain, Rez banner, 100B.
Do tons of damage
Have good survability
And bring something different to the battlefield

Disadvantages:
1) While we bring something different to the fight having 2 warriors or having 1 warrior 1 thief 1 guardian in the team is too much. The composition is extremely restricted to bring other classes with stronger utility.
2) Synergy with the team is almost none-existent all you really do is say “Hey check out my crit”
3) You cannot out tank/out aggro a guardian. Do not try- Focus on doing the best you can do which is bringing a lot of pain to the enemy.

Honestly people just need to learn how to double tap how of the extremely obvious 100B animation.

I’m Sword/Sword Condition/Bleed build right now, I do 100 bleed per tick.

I’m using 0/20/30/20/0. I find it pointless to go 0/20/25/25/0 gaining that “Might on revive” or extra 500 hp won’t do you anything. Getting lv 30 Defense allows you to get defy pain which gives you 1 second of endure pain which is basically your anti burst survaiblity skill.

30k on a frenzy’d warrior in WvW

Hey Last Stand and Defy pain from the defense traits number VIII and XI don’t seem to be working for me. Are they working for you? Am I doing something wrong?

If Aussies would always win then Sea of Sorrows (The unofficial Oceanic Server) will always win but they’re rated pretty low right now. This is why I have a WvW guild with a 24 hour rotation guard. We have no problem throwing down money for an upgrade its only a few silver pieces.
