For some odd reason I can log on every other character in game expect my warrior.

I’ve tried logging on to my warrior forever now but it keeps d/cing on the loading screen.

do tl;dr eports is too OP to be making money so we gotta PvE if we wanna make gold?

I don’t know if it’s it’s the eotm kitten the servers but the lag was horrible, the enemy team was d/cing and they reported us for hacking? lol.

Bunker Guardian go mid fight 1v3 (you being 1 enemy being 3) and hold for the entire match. Win all the games like I do, and if you lose at the very least you can say “You did your best” and move on. I win 80% of my games with bunker guardian.

I agree with the topic, the push for E-Sports isn’t possible. ANet doesn’t have the full backing of NCSoft they’re working on their 2 new big games and sending money that way. E-Sports is too huge now and the only way we can compete with SC2 or League Of Legends is only if NCSoft is willing to throw billions of dollars at GW2 like tencent did for LoL.

This “Push for E-Sports” has hardcore veterans disgusted. You’re using away old GW1 players (probably lost them all by now) with this new generation concept of “E-Sports”. GW1 achieved greatness in E-Sports it was way beyond it’s time but during it’s time it was the only real competitive E-Sports around (besides CS 1.6). However GW1 never set out with the idea of making “PvP great” it was just an add on feature at the original release and never planned to be great. It was us the player and the community and our culture that made GW1 PvP great. There is no other game that would immediately /gkick somebody for disconnecting in a middle of a GvG match. The culture was extremely harsh and it was made by us players. However you’ve betrayed the players ANet, make a survey see what GW1 PvP veterians think see how many you have left.

And lets not joke around you’ll never become an ESports, if you’re never planning on making a feature were a team can watch and review old matches then you won’t even have the first building block of making an E-Sports. Your core system is outdated I will admit that taking a system 15+ years old and making GW2 out of it was really well done but you’re pushing the system to it’s limits future innovation seems impossible. You took a short cut, sure you made it worked but it’s coming to bite you in your kitten .

MIghty Meak quit the game. This was his good bye thread his “girlfriend not interested/left” actually refers to himself. He uses the term girlfriend for 2 reasons 1) to avoid the typical “QQ I’m quitting” type of threads and 2) girlfriends are something you care a lot about and here he talks about his care and passion for PvP and how it is all gone therefore his leaving.

What you proposed is that Anet leaves this system in. This rank system is stale, provides almost 0 incentive to play. Anyone can reach rank 80, from a pro to a noob. The rank system does nothing to show skill, it only shows that you’ve played enough to get there.

I do agree that reaching rank 80 is too easy, I personally think ranking up should be more harsher like in GW1 where it takes 3 years to get tiger and in it’s existence they’re only 3 dragons.

However being a good player is more than just “oh look at my pro awesome MLG 360 no scope skills”. To be a good player a person does not only need to understand every class, it’s viable builds and the current meta. A good player needs to be able to work with a team, communicate and understand their own teammates. A good player should also have the disciple to properly hold the rank. Disciple is gained by hard work and training. People nowadays are too focused on instant gratification and forget to look at the bigger longer term picture.

You say that the current rank system does not show skill and I say that the current system creates skill. A noob who spends 6 months 24 hours a day grinding rank 80 is surely going to become a good player. I am confident that with the current rank system a higher rank player will consistently beat a lower rank player.

Oh such a silly question, we players all know that all ANet employees only play Warriors. Logging on other characters are just part of their job to make it seem like they play something else but seriously when have you seen an ANET employee play a non-warrior class without sitting in town afking or trolling WvW?

Guardians are a mixed Hybird of Monks and Paragons from gw1.

In GW1 Paragon was a class that basically yelled at people a lot they had tons of shouts and “motivated people from their charisma”. Monks were the magical healers and protectors. These two had a baby which also shouted a lot during the middle of the night but somehow retained magical powers without worshiping a god. (I don’t think a Charr guardian will be worshiping dwanya)

But to the people who say “It’s about game mechanics” I wasn’t really asking about the distance of the dodge roll but more about why must they jump like that? Can’t they do some lousy human roll? or something else fitting a lab geek?

To my understanding sometime next year ANet will implement a ranking system much like in League Of Legends or Starcraft 2. If this is so I am personally against it, my reason is simple.

League Of Legends is infamous in it’s toxic community, it is a team based game where winning is depending on your team and if you lose you lose rating which you’ve worked hard to get. I am worried that GW2 will fall into this trap also were players will have to go into PvP with the idea they might get punished, this will without a doubt lead to a player being harsher on their own teammates and leading to a toxic community.

Right now there is a free feeling where I can enter a match and not have to worry much about losing a game. I also think that the new system would be against GW2 philosophy of not pushing it’s own players. ANet has seem to be moving in the direction that they want to make a game fun to play and while death sucks it doesn’t completely punish the player to a point of getting raged at by their own team.

The current rank system already has proven itself to work in GW1. While I do think that is too easy to rank up in GW2, I think the system still works. High rank players proved that they have the experience and passion in PvP. By playing PvP for a long time they naturally become skilled. In martial arts like tae kwan do fighters get a higher belt color based on the time and effort they spend in the arts. Once they earn a belt they’ve proven good enough for it and don’t get de-promoted from a belt for losing a fight.

Please reconsider your change and don’t jump on what other “esports” are doing, you have an entire system proven to work by the years of of GW1. Don’t throw it out of the window to jump on the bandwagon.

I don’t know if anybody noticed this in the last year and a half of GW2 but… Have you seen an asura dodge! They’re doing back flips! When they jump they basically jump their height imagine a human being doing that, not possible!

Whats even more is that they’re a cave dwelling race! I find it hard to believe that a race whose evolution came from the undergrounds have such strong jumping powers.

It’s happening me to me also, I think what happened was earlier on the day GW2 was doing something with their server routing and during their changes they messed up something and it isn’t working for some regions.

Hey I can log on the patcher and get to character selection but once I select a character and the game is loading it just closes and goes back to the patcher?

is that enough to run WvW fights of 50v50 and still maintain 60 frames per seconds while still using good graphics?

If not;
what would be the requirements to be able to maintain 50v50 fights with decent graphics.

Can anybody suggest me good parts that will do the job but still be relatively cheap?

While I love seeing people do 22k crits, I think 3 months ago is a bit oudated. With Arena net’s changes what was viable back then might not be optimal now. 30/0/0/10/30 is one of the more common glass cannon builds and I’ve tested it and I was unable to do 22k damage.

I also felt that the 30/0/0/10/30 is trying to complete with GS in only the terms of damage but doesn’t try to take advantage of the other advantages that axes can offer.

Does anybody have an optimal/viable Eviscerate build that can compete with the GS build?

I’m looking for good good hand sigils.

Currently my set up is:

Axe/Shield
Axe/Mace

With Sigil of Int on both of my main hand axes. So I’m looking for 2 Sigils for my off hand weapons.

Sigil of Force: I think Sigil of Force is over rated if I do 10k dmg that’s only 500 extra damage and I don’t think it’s worth.
Sigil of Bloodlust: I use a sword and farm the stacks before combat so I don’t need this on my main weapon sets.

I wanted to use Sigil of Energy/Battle but since they’re also weapon swap sigils they share the same cool down as sigil of int so they don’t trigger.

Suggestions please.

Is that clearly intended? or is it a bug? If it’s clearly intended the game should clearly state it.

Hi so currently my weapon set up is

Set 1:
Axe Sigil of Int
Shield Sigil of Energy

Set 2
Axe Sigil of Int
Mace Sigil of battle.

However the sigils of battle/energy are bugging out for me.

Sigil of Energy: It doesn’t work at all when I’m using sigil of int on my main hand weapon. If I swap it to make it the only sigil in the weapon set it works fine.

Sigil of battle: Gives only +1 might. Regardless whether I’m using sigil of int or not. Also I think the +1 might is from the warrior burst tree trait so this sigil doesn’t work at all.

Sigil of Int: Sometimes it doesn’t proc. (Yes I’m in combat)

I think this is an issue with me using 2 “Whenever you swap into weapon”. I’m pretty sure it is this.

Please help/Please fix. With my off hand sigils not working (plus them being the expensive ones) It’s pretty dull.

What commodities are worth playing in GW2?

The rates are super harsh it’s basically impossible to trade gold/gem and make profit within reasonable risk and a timely manner.

Hi, I would like to join a guild that is passionate about about the lore and play the game because they love it not because they want to do WvW or something else.

Yep hopefully we can find a guild together Mr Waffle. If no such guild exists and more people who share the same feelings we do come here and we get around 10 people maybe we can start our own guild.

I know it’s a vague discription but yeah. I play GW2 because I love the world and universe they’ve made. I would like to find more people who feel like me.
