Ranger class kicked from WvW and PvE

Hi!

I constantly see Rangers being kicked by leaders in WvW squads, they openly say reason: “rangers are useless in WvW”. Happened a lot with me and with many other rangers, sometimes 4-5+ people at once kicked from squad to make room for useful classes like Templest (ele).

Also seeing same trend in PvE, for example Fractal 40lvl farm. They need only chrono+warr+3 ele for farm. Yesterday i saw in LFM “No rangers” in one of fractal groups (classes were not stated, was not usual Chrono+Elle PvE farm group).

Being locked out of WvW and PvE activities as certain class, what are options except changing class?

This post needs to be removed by the mods.

This post has done nothing but try and maliciously overstate the possible damage that can be done in order to have a class that is actually fairly underpowered already, nerfed.

Please read Sly’s post above. With this setup, an auto attack from almost any class would likely crit for around 30-40k. It’s a scenario that is entirely impossible to replicate in actual play. If I had done this exact set up on my warrior with Thousand blades I likely could have pushed around 250k damage.

Can you do math and show how for example, Ranger, would hit for 30-40k with this stack with 1 ability?

Doesn’t need any setup from other players with all buffs. And was one ability…

1. It is not normal and any Ranger will say this, and this will be fixed.
2. You say ability with 107k dmg is normal .

Also, both Ranger and Revenant gets +condition dmg increase, though for Ranger it is only Bleed, while Revenant has bleed AND also free +20% condition dmg (Kalla).

Well you’d have to consider traits, utilities and the other shortbow skills and other weapon skills. An actual build is not a single skill after all.

Also, the revenant skill has a half second cast time so it’s a slower weapon than the ranger one.

Ranger activation time is half-second too. So it is same speed.

Its auto-attack skill for short-bow (for both classes), one that is used most time – since other skills have cd’s on them.

Why melee class (Revenant) have better “1” skill than class like Ranger for his short-bow?

I am not complaing, i am trying to understand reason.

5 minutes of non-stop EVADE.

Since i was shooting (supposedly) instant Crossfire shots non-stop, i think i hit him like 4-6 times out of 500+.

Any way to get “unevadable” attacks, we can get unblockable buff, i know.

Otherwise they just keep Trolling people. Or you maybe look into amount of Evades for thiefs?

Note: 3 second bleeding (66 damage) is only when target is not facing you, which is hard to do in pvp, for example, or some boss fights where boss is constantly change direction, so you are stuck with 1,5 sec bleeding for 33 damage.

I am missing something?
