This class received mostly more nerf since the beginning than any other.

But there always emo hello-kitty commanders who whine about it. Or whine about anything what they simply not like: Oh, a thief kill meee, NEEERF, oh a mesmer stomp meee, NEEERF… the elementalist is OP, NEEERF… And theres always approving crowd of similar “whiners” too… Pathetic!

If you want to play PVP, then PRACTICE, always learn how to counter any tricks. It’s more easier to cry intead of learn. Its easier to say OP, and “I can nothing to do against it, cause it’s the system fault…”

at first i wanna wish u gl in gw2

about mesmer
1. mesmer PvE is nice .. np at all .. in dung we have tools which every pt love : )
timewarp, feedback, null field, portal .. also we are able to offtank with illusions or ress allies during combat just let ur phantasmas do their work

2. mesmer role is about ur gear and build but we can fill any ..

dps yes and what is even better mesmer defence is more active so even as glasscannon we can have nice survability

support sure .. above mentioned fields u can also use signet of inspiration with arcane thievery to steal and share boons from bosses .. chaos storm give aoe aegis or inspiration 15 phantasnams give regen around them ..

control .. well this is prob harder to make still viable ( but definetly less good than staff ele ) so chaos storm is aoze daze ( and chill uf ur lucky ).. u can also use illusion 12 trait for another aoe daze .. u can use domination 5 for cripple and focus 4

3. well im more WvW and PvE player … so cant say

4. lvling is pain at start … at 15 becomes lil less pain .. and from 40 simple .. also dont forget soloing champs ( illusions tanking is just great )

5. eeeeee .. sry i think ur scale is 2 small for mesmer :P … its even more fun

If you think Deso has huge numbers then you’re making an error in judgement and haven’t seen what tier 1 looks like. The post by Lilyfay has some very good advice for your servers. I do think both servers are great at tactics, you have good potential but if you don’t want to give that advice some thought then enjoy being beaten by whichever server keeps rotating into tier 2.

Regarding skill, well I saw perhaps a handful of players that demonstrated that so far. My guild is assigned to EB this week so I haven’t seen any borderland action yet but if you think we’re lacking in skill then why are 15 of us able to consistently beat the majority of your hitsquads numbering 30 or more?

As for us “losing tier 1” – well that’s just how the point system works, we placed #2 in the last tier 1 matchup but due to Elona fighting only Kodash mostly and gaining massive points their rating allowed them to replace us. Kinda like the points Desolation is amassing now even though we’re fighting two servers instead of one.

Anyway I do respect most of what Kodash and BB do, keep it up.

tru that most ppl use torch for “The Prestige” ability
rly nice one .. 2* blast finisher aoe blind + burn and invis on top of that
but iMage itself is good in 1v1 situations when u need to keep constant pressure
confusion + retaliation can be deadly if enemy just spam abilities wo thinking
so iMage can slow down their effort

im currently running on tanky mesmer and had one nice fight with d/d ele today
fighting cca 5 min
couldnt kill each other

i was testing GS/staff in dungeons and it work fine … the build i was using is more phantasm focused not shatter … it scales better with power .. GS is used for dmg and cc staff for its super defensive abilities ..
signet of inspiration + water/monk runes and u can have very nice boons duration
which u can share
but one warning … its fine in dungeons only
