Yes, I know that, it’s just that I have yet to buy the shoulderpieces. But I was postponing it, because I didn’t really know how they would look on a female Norn. That’s the last piece I’m missing, and I’m probably going to buy it when I get back home.

And if you want to match your hair to your armor, you can just unequip the helm, reenter the makeover window and it’ll display you current armor (which does not include the unequipped helmet of course). Bugged me as well

I’m looking for a favor; After playing for about 7 months as a Norn (and loving it!), I’ve come across a dilemma. I’m currently playing as a male Norn Warrior and I recently found a Total Makeover Kit in a Black Lion chest. Now I’m thinking of changing my character into a female Norn Warrior. I’m really fond of this idea, but there’s one thing holding me back: Will my armor still look good on a female? I’ve tried it out on my female Human Mesmer (by previewing it) and it looks great. The only problem I have is that I’m wearing Norn cultural Tier 3 shoulders, which I obviously can’t preview on my Human mesmer. My favor is the following: Can someone with a female Norn (or an open character slot) preview my Warrior armor and submitting a screenshot here?

I believe that if you buy the basic book to unlock the first tier of traits, it already does this, although someone needs to confirm or deny it as I’ve not tried it myself.
To be honest, they could add a “Refund Traits” button to the Traits screen that automatically subtracts the refund fee from you carried cash.

But even more than that, I still believe they should allow you to refund your traits for free anywhere in the world as long as you’re out of combat in the same way they did in GW1. This is purely my opinion and what I would prefer.

I just tried buying the tier one book, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work.

As for a free retrait option: With Guild Wars’ 2 complex economy it should ‘erase’ money from the game (teleporting via WP’s, Trading Post fees, etc and also refund traits).

I do think the “Refund Traits” button would be nice. I haven’t thought about it like that, I never thought further than the book

• Being able to choose Legendary Stats
• Legendary weapons having higher stats than the top-tier (Exotic, Ascended)

I disagree. Since it is a completely new and different suggestion I think it belongs in a new topic. Just because it’s about the same subject doesn’t mean it should be grouped up into one big topic.

Personally, I don’t agree with it, as it promotes elitism and people telling others how to play their characters.

From experience, you’ll find that the majority of the userbase feel the same way.
If they were to ever implement this (and I’m sure they’ve said in the past that they never will), the only way it would work would be as an opt-in choice, so that if you don’t want people to see your equipment, they can’t.
Even then, there would be pressure to reveal gear and a lot of people would get kicked from PUGs for refusing to do so.

The way it is now results in a much more relaxed community feel.

Like Mungrul said. This would make dungeon runners screen PuG groups for their equipment rather than by their skill. I dissagree about this option. Should you have the option, however, to choose wether other people could view your equipment, I suppose it would acceptable.

As a matter of fact, I have seen and read the entire topic. I suggest Legendary Weapons are put on par with Ascended gear, but I also say in this topic that the previous is already being discussed by ArenaNet.

I just wanted to put my personal thoughts on the matter via a suggestion (the drop-down box and Account medal). This is not being discussed in your mentioned topic.

I love Guild Wars 2, especially for supporting different playstyles and eliminating traditional roles (Healer, Tank, DPS, etc). Now what bugs me is the following: The player can change gear, trinkets and weapons, but it’ll all mean little when we don’t refund and respent our traits. This is no big deal: Buy the refund (it’s cheap while still supprting the in-game economy) -> REFUNDED.

Now, when we are in a dungeon or a PvE environment that doesn’t allow us to access retrainers, the entire premise of “play what you want, when you want” falls apart.
My suggestion is the following: Let retrainers have the option of selling “Trait books” (while still having the retrain service availiable). These “Trait books” (or whatever you want to call them) let a player retrain all 70 traits, when he/she is out of combat, at any given time, wherever.
I don’t think this would cause balancing options to fail, it would only mean we wouldn’t have to quit the dungeon, refund and rejoin. I have no knowledge of video-game balancing, but this is just a suggestion.

Legendary weapons are the result of hours and hours of gameplay, they show dedication to the game. But since the “Legendary” part in “Legendary weapon” is only cosmetic, it’s not always worth it for the hardcore players among us to obtain one. We are supposed to farm and grind while we could be enjoying brilliant content instead. Now, my suggestion is to give them an advantage, stat-wise. It has come to my attention that this is in fact on ArenaNet’s to-do-list (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/linsey-murdock-unveils-new-high-end-ascended-gear/): “…all existing legendary weapons, which are currently on par with Exotics, will be upgraded to be on par with Ascended weapons…” — Linsey Murdock.

This is not exactly what I want. I suggest Legendary Weapons have the best stats in-game (Wether it be on par with Ascended, or higher. As the article states.), AND a little extra. Here is my suggestion: Legendary weapons should have a drop-down box that allows the player to choose the stats he/she wants at any given time (outside of combat). This would make one worth getting while supprting different playstyles.

While I’m ranting on about legendary weapons, I would like to include a second suggestion: In the “Character Select” screen, make it so that the “Legendary Weapon account medal” is NOT “Wield a Legendary Weapon”, but instead: “Craft a Legendary Weapon”. This is more logical in my opinion. Anyone can buy a Legendary weapon with gold (that could have been bought with real money), which wouldn’t make it very “Legendary”. While crafting one requires a certain amount of skill (dungeon tokens), patience, organisation, etc.

I would love to hear any opinions about this.

My skin wil eventually come. Now the problem is my younger brother: he has done the same amount of chests and has gotten, … wait for it … 8 SKINS! Even twice two chests on a single character, an Asura (coincidence?). The current TP price for these skins is ~60 gold and the will only skyrocket in a couple of months. While I feel I am just wasting my time running all my characters each day ;_;

You realize you can just buy the skin you want. (with bauble bubbles)

If you are in this for profit instead of fun you are going to be disappointed.

I am as a matter of fact in it for the profit, while getting enough Bauble Bubbles for the skins I want.

EDIT: I have gotten 2 skins with the last two characters I’ve ran this day with. Which makes my total 2 skins out of ~100 chests. About the average, which would in turn confirm the droprate (1 in 50). My brother still has 8 skins, with less runs this time.

P.S.: I do think it is worth doing every day since a Greatsword and a Shortbow skin (the two skins I got) make for a total of 45 gold (at the time of writing) while still getting the Bauble Bubbles. I’m just hoping the skins will be worth more after a couple of months.

Hey, I’m looking for this chest armor and I can only find the skin for 396 Badges of Honor. Since that is a lot, I was wondering if you can obtain it cheaper. In this thread a lvl 60 Guardian had that armor.
