Northern Shiverpeaks [NA]
Zealots of Shiverpeak [ZoS]
I just submitted a bug report in-game about the volunteer prompt not showing in PvP. I included in the description that it wasn’t showing since Tuesday’s patch. Right after submitting it and having the bug for several days, I did another PvP game and behold! There was the volunteer prompt again.
I felt that submitting a new bug report would not be the best way to communicate to whomever is in charge of the submissions so I figure I’ll just post here to let them know.
Insignia? Does it mean it only applies to armor?
I’d imagine so. Weapons are not as expensive as armor, but mainly doing this would allow for an easily and cheaply method of obtaining all skills for a single weapon.
Hey, thanks for the responses guys!
I might get the chance today or tomorrow to test it out myself since they’re incredibly cheap anyway.
The official wiki states that the 4th bonus of the Superior Rune of Vampirism is bugged.
(1): +25 Power.png Power
(2): 15% chance to cause your next attack to steal health when hit. (Cooldown: 25s)
(3): +50 Power.png Power
(4): Your next attack after using your healing skill steals health.
(5): +100 Power.png Power
(6): You become mist when you fall below 20% health. (Cooldown: 60s)
Bug:
When an armor piece is damaged and then repaired, you must unequip all armor pieces and equip them again otherwise the 4th bonus will not work. You will no longer see the Leech indicator.
I see from other threads that this has been bugged quite some time already. Does anyone know wether this is fixed in a patch/April’s Feature Patch?
Q: Will we be able to see in which ‘Megaserver’ we are? Like in the original game you could see in which district you were in (starting from 1 upwards).
Q: Are there still big features/changes that aren’t (yet) announced in the blogposts?
Q: Will skins, like the Living Story backpacks, retain their first free application (no Transmutation Stones/Crystals required)? Additionally: If the answer is yes; can we store the unused skins in the Wardrobe?
Q: Also, just to be clear: Will the Hall of Monuments, Zenith, Radiant and Hellfire skins be free to apply as many times as you want (as it is now)?
Q: Will the Achievement UI be overhauled to not include the Zenith/Radiant/Hellfire skins (since this seems somewhat redundant now)?
Q: What kind of decrease in gold can we expect from the Champion Boxes?
EDIT (thought of another question):
Q: Will the feature patch introduce new achievements related to the new features? Examples: “Collect X amount of armor pieces”, “Finish PvP track X”, etc.

Usually around 9am -10 am server time.
What server?
Yes, I do.
/15 blah blah blah
What?
Anyway, they updated their Facebook page saying that the patch will be rolled out “in a few short hours”. This was posted 2 hours ago.

Heyhey Osicat,
When do you think we can expect the new Shatter Cat 4.0 build?
Removing Race Restrictions on Cultural Armors
… Is a horrible idea?
Exactly what Stemare said. These are definately not the meta builds atm (maybe for you they are?).
TeamSpeak.
I think the limitations on this are pretty obvious: Not everyone uses/wants to use Teamspeak. Or they’re not on the same server/channel as the commander.
Condi damage on a guardian is REALLY lackluster, as they only damaging condition they can apply (not including sigils/runes etc) is burn.
Very true, it’s ridiculous really. Our profession lacks an entire playstyle because of its mechanics. They could at least have added bleed-on-crit trait or poison on an auto-attack to make it somewhat viable.
As said, I also think the weapon is best put on your Necromancer or Engineer.
This is a great idea imo. I’m all for it and I loved these contests in the original game. I’m sure it’ll produce some great ideas. Daily on Reddit people share their concepts etc which look superb.
+1
We already knew this a week ago or so. The point is that the community got mad about the first set that was for the human race only and that it costed boatloads of gold. Watch closely, the medium armor is also in-game already, they all are just reskins of existing models.
The worst part is that it goes into full cooldown. If it weren’t for that I wouldn’t mind, but as it stands now it can really be annoying.
I’ve noticed this too, not necessarily that they’re missing, but that the hits and swings aren’t synchronised with the popping damage numbers.
I hope commander tag and legendary becomes account wide. pretty pls.
I also hope for Legendaries to become account bound, but tags are a different story.
They are bound to a character to show their leadership (although it can be bought by frankly anyone) in the battlegrounds. If I enter WvW and I see a commander, hover over it and recognise the name, I’ll go over there and help where I can.
If they would become account bount, you’ll see tons of new, upleveled characters. Maybe if the Guild tag was shown afte the name (e.g. Commander Bird Song [Os]) then I would be more inclined to agree, but as it stands now: No, thank you.
P.S.: +1 for OP

This isn’t a suggestion! This is whining about a very solid profession with unique mechanics (albeit somewhat overpowered in the current condition heavy meta). And not even have arguments to support your QQ.
The class it was supposed to be.. Instead of a reskin of other classes..
Necromancer has unique class mechanics like their forms (including the Death Shroud), their minion mastery and their secondary skills. They posses the ability of life stealing (few other do, if any), …
to be honest, necromancer is not a necromancer.. If you give it a couple of minion skins doesn’t make it an mm..
add a couple of condition skills, Still not a necromancer..
Why does it not? Controlling the undead flesh as living monsters under the command of the Necromancer, sounds pretty necromancery to me. And conditions is just part of the necromancer, always has been, always will be.
Slowely the necro becomes a blend, uninteresting profession without anything interesting.. sure it’s exciting in the beginning..
Well then this must be the most uninteresting argument I’ve ever heard!
but after running trough all gear and skills… the necro has nothing interesting to offer except be gankmeat or a rallybot.
The class is starting to become dissapointing..
Most certainly not! While I kinda dissaprove of the Necromancer’s ability to take up any role and use any armor stats it must be said the this profession is probably one of the most versatile. You can spec for Healer, Tank, Berserker, High mobility, Condition applier, Minion master, Spellcaster, … You can even choose melee, or ranged.
So yeah anet, have fun with the living world while professions and balance (and bugs) are lowest on the list..
Every living story update so far contained bug and balance fixes. There has been a huge one a while ago and there’s an upcoming one in December.
As I said, a more interesting subject to tackle is their strength in the condition departement and the lack of other profession to counter this (in WvW and PvP).

I completely agree with Foofad. On my guardian (main) I have more critical chance and a bit less critical damage than you. But I surpass 3k attack (1838 power) without stacks or might and my damage still isn’t great.
Your 2 passive condi removals won’t help your allies out and altruistic healing is great, but it covers only few situations (like: what is the size of your group? <5 is wasting the trait.). And, as said, it’s very selfish.
In reaction to the 2nd and 3rd post: Yes, there indeed have been datamined evidence that ArenaNet might increase the stack from 250 to 500. I can’t remember if this was a gemstore item or a permanent change.
Note: Since this was datamined, it is not sure if it’ll ever make it into the game.
Edit: Found the link on Reddit by dataminder that_shaman.

I would personally take the third one, mostly because I like to have a decent health pool to counter the condition heavy meta in WvW at the moment.
I also prefer the high crit damage. It seems like your lacking crit dmg in the 1st and 2nd build that seem to be dmg-oriented.
Especially in WvW the higher healing power in build #3 is a must on a guardian.
And I have a feeling your armor rating in the 1st and 2nd build is overkill.
Please note though:
All of which could drastically change the opinions I have about the stats, but looking at my playstyle and the weapons I run with … I’d choose the 3rd build.
If your sole purpose is to stack might and increase group dps I suggest a correctly traited S/F. Staff might is useful, but the duration is short and you get rooted and unable to attack while casting, effectively losing 1/5 of your group dps for 2.5 seconds. Maybe consider taking Empowering Might in a group setting to not overstack might.
I’d take staff if I had Altruistic Healing traited and wanted to carry a PuG.
I bought myself a Super Longbow skin a couple months ago for the sake of having one just in case we do get the longbow as a weapon. Besides, they announced the introduction of new weapons, and beore inventing new weapons I reckon they’ll add existing weapons to different classes first.
Can a rune of the monk and a rune of the water be replaced with two runes of the traveler. It now gives +10 to each stat, 2% crit dmg (1) and +15% boon duration (2). Is this maybe a better option? I think it might be overkill on the duration and you lose about 100 healing power, but you get more toughness, power, vitality, etc. I’d love to hear your opinions about it.
I don’t play too much WvW, so looking at this build from a PvE perspective: it is about exactly what I’m running atm. There are some things that I want to note tough:
1. Why not take Pistol Mastery over Ankle Shots? I think the cripple on a 30-sec cooldown isn’t worth it for me when you could have 10% additional dmg. Besides, your 3 dodges spawn caltrops that cripple as well.
2. Why take Superior Sigil of Peril on your main hand pistol? The only vulnerability (Body Shot) probably isn’t affected by the sigil since the duration is so short. Superior Sigil of Air, Fire, Strength, Rage or even Water, Ice, Geomancy, Earth seem better options. Earth even seems a good option since you have some condition dmg.
Again: I’m looking at this from a PvE perspective, so your choices might make sense in WvW. Overall a good build
Cheers.
Yea my main question is whether we will have a slot for sigil. Anet please clarify
I would certainly hope so, I don’t think I could give up my sigils
Ascended gear is better than exotic gear with the same stat combination, even when the exotic has a jewel of the same stat combo. In addition to better stats than exotic, ascended gear has an upgrade slot.
This is what I think as it would resemble current Ascended trinkets compared to exotics..
EDIT: The upgrade slot can probably only be slotted with infusions http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Infusion
EDIT2: On top of this I would assume that you’d also have an upgrade slot for sigils.
(edited by Coroner.3168)
Yeah, I think you can. Just make sure you meet the lvl requirement for the new stats, though
Just spent 20g to get 5 keys and didn’t get a single piece for one of those tickets. Then I actually went and looked at the skins; no way am I wasting any more gold on that.
Why would you try to get a ticket for a weapon whose skin you hadn’t even seen yet!?
More on topic: Could someone post a screenshot of a couple of the weapons please? I can’t view them ingame since I am at work, but I’m deadly curious of how the swords and hammer look like. Absolutely loved them in the original game. I do wish ArenaNet would make more weapon sets that had to be earned, not given to you randomly :/
EDIT: Dulfy just posted them: http://dulfy.net/2013/08/20/gw2-zodiac-weapon-skin-gallery/
(edited by Coroner.3168)
I have 3.4k Armor, 3.9k Atk, 18K HP
Pic or it didn’t happen.
No seriously though. I’ve been messing around in the build calculators and I almost get those numbers, but they make up a ridiculously inefficient build.
Care to share?
Ugh same here. I voted for Evon and since he didn’t win I ended up with 500+ buttons. This could have been a couple of gold if I’d sold the Support Tokens.
/Mildy annoyed
Never going to happen and I’m glad we won’t ever see them. Maybe something cosmetic that can only be used outside of combat (like the broom you could buy during Halloween).
This has been suggested many times already and altough I do agree that there should be something like this … It probably won’t ever happen. Guild Wars 2’s economy needs a money sink (like the trait refund fees, BLTC fees, repair fees, …).
Maybe an alternative option would be a manual that costs 3s50 (the amount it costs now to retrait) every time it’s used.
I’d love one as well
I just have a few convenience items that would be nice:
- After the armor repair is complete, give the conversation option to go directly into selling instead of making us leave the dialogue and reopen it to sell afterwards.
- You know how when you get new items, they pop up in that list on the right above the map? Sometimes, when you are in an instance, there is the “leave instance” button. And if you happen to get new items, they cover up this button, so you either have to wait for them to fade, or run to an exit, which is slightly annoying when you get lots of items. So maybe adding a way to get rid of them? Maybe with a right click, since the left click opens them in the inventory.
- Add back the ability to draw on the map in a party from GW1. That was cool. I liked it. Give it back!
- Make an option to be able to see all players on the map outside of the city. Some people wouldn’t like this, and it would become a pain if there were lots of players in a single spot, but it would be kind of nice in some situation, so having it as an option would be cool. It could even just work within a certain distance like how resources only pop up on the map at a certain distance.
I had a few other things, but I forgot them. None of these are big, but they would just be nice to have around maybe.
Regarding the drawing on the map: It already exists in-game. Hold Shift + click and drag. (I think it’s shift atleast, I can’t confirm right now) When you click and don’t drag you place a “red dot” (as in GW1).
Regarding the loot covering the “leave instance” button: This has been fixed.
I do agree with the other two, small but usefull additions.
Never going to happen. It would be overpowered and not even logical from a RPG perspective. Imagine a zerker warrior with a Superior Sigil of Force and Fire.
This is a good idea. I have managed to buy SE armor once with the correct stats but wrong armor type :/ Worst of all, it’s soulbound!
I think as a warrior you shouldn’t even be able to buy weapons/armor that you can’t even use. +1 definitely!
Warrior doesn’t have a “speedsinget” either :/
Altough it pains me to play with my necromancer and then go play with my guardian and get annoyed by the fact that he’s slower, it’s normal. It’s done for balancing options. Imagine a mesmer with +25% speed running away from you in WvW, that’s why they don’t have too many skills that apply swiftness. But thenagain: warriors, guardians and engineers can have perma-swiftness.
When I saw that we can now click achievements to get to their own mini-page, I was rather hoping those mini-pages would have additional information, and in this case, additional information would be very much appreciated.
I keep a google spreadsheet outside of GW with this information, so that’s a good tell that something’s missing in game.
This would be a great addition to add even more in-depth information about each dungeon in the achievements panel.
And yeah, I’m also keeping a Microsoft Word document with all dungeon paths completed with my main.
This build makes me cry. Poor guardian. Some much potential wasted.
Why? This build suits me perfectly, you might have managed to overlook the gear? How could I’ve maximized this build’s potential?
And as I said: "This is personal preference, don’t judge me … "
and that’s what a birthday refers to, the year occurance of aging.
Made me laugh. I think it’s also pretty obvious what a birthday is, even if you haven’t played the original Guild Wars.
Gear
I run almost full Soldier’s armor (besides the helmet => Knight’s) with full Superior runes of the Soldier. Weapons are almost always Knight’s and my trinkets are full Ascended, the unnamed stat combo (Precision/Toughness/Power).
Build
My trait setup is 0/0/30/30/10. To get some nice Healing and Vitality and for “Two-Handed Mastery”. Please note: This is personal preference, don’t judge me, I just like to have a decent health pool. And “Altruïstic Healing”, it is a dungeon build you’re looking for, isn’t it
.
Explanation
I tried building a very tanky guardian. With 3.2+ k armor and 17+ k Health I think I succeeded. Along with loads of condition removal for me and my party. But when playing in genereal solo PvE or even some WvW I needed some damage (hence the precision). I managed to get 48% critical chance and 35% Critical damage, which is very nice considering I’m the Tank. On top of this, when running dungeons: there is a very high chance of warriors being involved. This allows me to have acces to fury (along with the “Save Yourselves” Shout) which in turn boosts my crit chance to 68%.
I’m almost done with my “Dungeon Master”-title using this build, I’m aiming for the Fractal Capacitor and I own multiple sets of dungeon armor. I never die during world events and manage to pack a (relatively) big punch.
Build: http://tinyurl.com/kv4zca9
Note: traits can be swapped around for “Honorable Shield”, “Mace of Justice”, choose the “Writ of …” traits making this a build that allows the use of all weapons and playstyles.
There is a reason guardians don’t have much swiftness… they aren’t supposed too. They’re the strong, but slow class. Stop asking for swiftness. What’s next? Stealth too?
HA! I can keep up permanent swiftness with my guardian. I’m running an AH guardian build (with shouts, that is). And when using my staff (like I always do) I have access to three skills that give swiftness (two shouts and my Symbol of Swiftness from my staff).
Combine this with the greatsword leap (#3) allowing guardians to have the highest mobility right behind warriors. This is in ideal circumstances though.
Note: I have 10% increased boon duration.
Celestial Signet: Passive adds 15 to all stats and +3% critical damage. Active triggers gigantic AoE blue-white fireblast – 1,200 range (max 10 targets). Applies 1 second of fear & 12 seconds of burning.
Skills in GW2 can only hit 5 people maximum and 12 secs of burning is OP. There is an adept trait that gives 7 secs burning when you reach 25% health (Shimmering Defense) which can be a 1v1 win for a guardian when we’re losing in WvW. AND on top of that you want to add fear!?
(edited by Coroner.3168)
Yeah I’ve noticed that too. Thankfully they can be sold now.
I do wish they dropped Gauntlet tickets …
Kill aetherblades in the world, they appear near Balloons.
I think I saw this atleast in the livestream, can someone confirm?
I actually think this is a good idea. It’s far more interesting than “Miniature Collector”.
+1
GS: Ghastly Greatsword (AC)
Hammer: Pact Crusher
Staff: Kodan Staff (HotW)
Mace: Lionguard
Shield: Super Shield (SAB)
A very old preview picture for my guardian, back in the day. I suggest imagining the armor with an Abyss or Black dye in contrary to the default grayish.
I agree. It is one of the reasons I’m going for The Flameseeker Prophecies (it does have a bit of a backstory related to the original Guild Wars).
OT: I somehow feel the need to say that the pact token (you get after completing the main storyline) should be a required crafting material for a legendary weapon. I’m 900h in the game and I still haven’t completed the main storyline arch. :/
