Unlike to RG we care about community here in Desolation. I tell you even more. We never tell pug to gtfo, leave BL, WvW. We do know that saCRYx is capable of doing such things. If pug follow our commanders we are more than happy, becasue we wan to encourage them for playing WvW more often.

It’s not even about the community its about getting better fights on the go. Anybody can zerg a smaller force down its easy. what happened to the good fights good guilds fighting each other. Its more to do with todays current PVPer way of thinking. Not working on being good as a team. Just blob everyone for the easy win. I dont really understand the thinking behind it. I can understand why people do it, it’s just not for me.

I mean none of our players could even land a hammer stun or any utilities. It’s not even your fault either i dont really blame IRON or the pugs with them. Its more to do with Anets fail engine when you literally cant use anything other than 1 and hope for the best.

This is just no fun to play vs. 70 – 90 Desolation guys at every turn insane skill delay. what happened to guilds running alone for the glorious kills. Isit still a win at all costs attitude lets have some good fights not this mass blobbing you cant fire off anything it just becomes more about who can hit 1 on the skill bar hardest. I would say good fights but its really not i think GvG at the moment is the only enjoyment you can get and skillfull play where you can actually use all of your abilities without any hassle. Ive seen some shocking things in pvp games but how can people play like this.

We also have about 10 people from guild with the same problem.

All i done more or less for 5 years was Arena’s and Battlegrounds this game doesn’t cut it for me and is knowhere near the standard i am looking for personally. I prefer deathmatch not cap BGs. That is why i am doing a lot of Wvwvw at the moment, the structured is really not what i hoped it to be in this game.

There are a lot of people in Red Guard ex Arena/Structured/small scale/bg players it’s just not that good in this game.

Considering there is no GvG the best guilds are those that win the most points for their server.

Untill they create GvG and it becomes popular with tournaments and serious teams (which will never happen) there is no “best guild”. Right now those mentioned previously that are the best like RG, Votf, etc. consist of 50% keyboard turners where the only “strategy” is wearing p/v/t, having veils and spamming blast finishers into waterfields.

Yeah, quick regroup is important for a pulse-like fights that you usually see in GvG. RG does it perfectly, there’s almost no delay. This allows them to be ahead of opponent who is doing basically same push-regroup-push pulses. Regroup time depends on raid classes/builds setup as much as on basic discipline.

As soon as we get to Desolation if we ever do somehow someday we will organize a GvG with you guys. Been hearing some good things about Golden Horde and we didn’t meet last time we were against Desolation maybe because of the timezone issue and choosing the wrong zone but your for sure a guild we want to bump into out there on the field.

Hi there !

First off before i do anything i want to make it clear this is not a video about who is better i’m not really about all this guild slanging in forums. If i like a guild they will know about it if i don’t then they won’t. this is a video about promoting a part of the game. It seems now about a month down the line, since we started doing organized Guild vs. Guild matches with SiN/TUP that a lot of people have now started making there own matches. We recently saw a lot of US server guilds take some time off the campaign, to get involved init as well which was a good thing to see and watch guilds like VOTF, HB, EMP and TSYM. Also last week there was possibly one of the best matchups going between SiN and OPT. There is now even talk about guilds in tier 1 EU trying to approach it with KAZ putting out an open challenge to guilds like WL and MOS which is a great thing in my opinion, hopefully GH will get involved as well, if you do this make some video’s or stream it cause a people are keen on watching it. I’m not saying or do i want this to take over Wvwvw completely, far from it but it is something to change up the pace a bit with a lack of Wvwvw content not flowing into the game from the devs.

So now to the video this contains footage from 2 different servers and matchups. We have Nuke and RNV from Burach Bay and also ZDS and VCY from Seafarer’s Rest. ZDS Za Drots really made a big impression on Red Guard as being the 1 guild that pushed us all the way in Wvwvw. There was a lot of wipes on either team out there over last weekend from Saturday through to Monday and a lot of people in RG believe that ZDS is the best guild we have fought and so would i.

There are many guilds RG has fought that been good VOTF, SiN, KAZ, MOS, OPT, LNM, HB, TUP, RNV, Nuke, PRX but at the moment the guild that stands out as being the overall best and the guild that demands the most respect is probably ZDs – Za Drots from Seafarers Rest. Also we are still looking forward to fighting vs. GH from Desolation another Russian guild who we have heard and seen so much about.

Nop it’s nothing about this, JS is not, an will never be a serv focus in scoring like VS.

But this does not mean it’s FFA… When you face serv like Piken, Sfr or Deso, you can’t play/organis like vs Vabbi.

When i mean we need to improve our organisation it’s not about scoring organisation, it’s about reactivity, coordination btw guild and stuff like this.

What i don’t understand is why on earth you guys had to split up Arborstone. I get it the whole French kitten and all that, it’s certainly stronger in you folk. Arborstone was such a good server to fight like i said to the guy from Option and who really cares about points (Well Vizunah probably still do). I was sad the day i heard of Arborstone splitting.

As for this matchup really looking forward to it i think the match of the Titans for me at least would probably be Piken Square vs. Seafarers Rest vs. Desolation.

This is too Enhancer a lot of people don’t judge clashes like this on who can bash a door hardest. They judge on quality of guilds with ability to actually kill in open field well at least RG does.

Looking forward to tommorow should be a tip top matchup with Piken and Seafarers init. Can’t wait to see ZDs and OSC again some good battles in the past and im pretty sure many, many more to come, i have a soft spot for you guys. Maybe some potential organized Guild vs. Guild fights looking good.

Why they didn’t make Guild Commanders and raid parties i will never for the life of me know. It’s like they are trying to do there utmost to drive away from anything organized. I’m the commander bring your mam, dad, gran, grampa and uncle Kenny bring it all. Sort it out this has been said enough times.

My wishlist for 2013 is putting people in charge of Wvwvw that actually care about it and not people that only care about this E-sport crap that is failing big time. This is not Guild Wars 1 where Structured was actually very good. Jump off the dead horse allready getting boring now.

The organization and optimization skills of the European guilds that are now in T1 NA is impressive. However, the attempts at quasi-GvG in the field look more like a very dumb version of HA from GW1, which itself was a gimmick laden format. They shouldn’t be faulted for trying since GvG is bizarrely not part of the game as an official format, but I do wonder if this style of play will be positive or negative for WvW in the long run as more large guilds organize to play like this. Is it an improvement over the usual mindless militia zergs, or just that on steroids?

The thing is this game is called “Guild Wars” we wanted to try something on an equal ground. Not who has the most numbers, something on an equal ground. This sort of thing might be frowned upon but i don’t think the people that were involved cared at all to be honest. We will offer any guild going for a direct Guild vs. Guild with Red Guard. Everybody knows what the crack is before they jump in.

It was awesome to have you on the NA side, and it was great to fight you guys again. There is no doubt that you owned our kitten in gvg, where as the open fight fights were a bit more even.

Id really love to see more NA guilds getting into gvg. So far its only been TW from SoR that has showed any interest in it.

So here is a video i put up from our stay over on the american tier 1. In this video there is Wvwvw roaming action and then organized guild vs guild toward the end. It was a very enjoyable week over there for us it must be said and i want to thank JQ for having us and SOS and BG for providing us with some great action.

Again this is not an kitten video or a keeping score video this is sort of a way to promote guilds actually fighting each other which in my opinion is a great part of the game. So i would like to thank VOTF and HB for giving us some great fights.

Why do you devs hate Red Guard so much ? Always the same, getting boring now. People put video’s up all the time in the Wvwvw forum yet you pick us to make an example on.

I didn’t record that week but Mona caught an insane fight vs. Kaz Legacy last time we fought Desolation.

There is no greater feeling than going head on with another guild in Wvwvw in this game. You can ask anybody from any of the top Wvwvw guilds playing this game. What i have said in the video is true we don’t plan on running off or leaving or anything like that it is great now but it could be even much better if you developers pushed in the right direction.

Very nice footage, despite it being a bit too chaotic/mindless at times. I’m using an extremely similar build. I don’t get why everyone ignores the warhorn. It’s so good with the condi removal trait.

Fights like this will be a lot more interesting when they fix the culling imo! Hurry Anet.

a lot of the time espeically in fights like these a lot of classes use stealth it can be hard to tell if it is actually somebody using a skill or actual culling and of course the warhorn is ace for this sort of thing. A lot of people whined about us in tier 1 because they couldn’t see us partly due to the amount of people they were standing around which effects your culling and us veiling in.

Be good action to fight SFR again OSC and ZDs some insane battles miss it allready.

Here is a new video i have made recently. It is a bit of a twist in that a lot of the fights were planned by guild leaders to fight each other. This is not meant as a “we are superior” video i don’t really want to get involved in anything like that at all. I think win or loose everybody enjoyed the fights and this video is sort of a promotion for more guild vs guild fights, which has to be said is the main pull in the game for me. My video’s have allways been about guild collisions i mean it is Guild Wars 2 and i hope people don’t get the wrong end of the stick with it, this is not a we are better than you video it is as a mark of respect toward fighting a good enemy and an experience difference in some cases and the more casual approach. It would be awesome if you could implement maybe a 15 vs 15 or even 20 vs 20 deathmatch battle that would be completely unique. I’m not sure the effect it would have as a whole on Wvwvw but surely something to look into

It has been said before but Piken really has some beastly guilds out there. I don’t think i have to name them again. You can’t counter them without having the same type of experienced guilds so that’s definitely a problem for Gandara right now. That said, we are learning a lot and some guilds got motivated to build similar roam guilds as well now. It will take a while but we are determined to survive in T4.

I think thats the key mate building the guilds, more people joining guilds making them stronger cause the best fun in this game is guild vs guild. At the end of the day the more guilds roaming the better this game is for sure. Good action tonight guys a lot of fun.

Tbh our number fluctuates heavily, and is normally more around 20-30, but yesterday was kinda special, we actually reached our highest assitance peak in our small gw2 history… 39 KAZ in WvW out of 45 online. Plus some friends from BB who fought with us. Plus the good free people of Deso that followed. No match as seen for your 30 (more or less) RGs who ran mostly pugless for the majority of the clashes. No excuses.

I wont hide it; you guys have been my inspiration for getting this team from the “work-hard score points” attitude to the “we kill everybody” stance… We will forever be thankful. And its a REAL pain that you leave us for greener pastures, we will miss you dearly. Please promise to come back somehow, somewhere. Our blades will be waiting.

I think we will for sure add you too our list of “guilds to look out for” to be honest some great battles vs. you guys. You moved a lot better than a lot of guilds we have fought. So good stuff there. Kiting that norn mele train was a lot of fun and made for an extremely fun night i think all would agree in RG that was one of the best nights of Wvwvw in a while for us. Not really too bothered about server or who wins on points as long as the action is thick and creamy its all good, guilds interest me more than servers.

OSC, MOS, ZDS, GF. OPT and most recently VOTF.

Why do all these random heroes pop up. People win people loose does the campaign really matter that much anymore, i know for the average pug yes it does. We want the best guilds the best action and i think with Seafarers we have that so cut the crap and get stuck in. Why people endlessly qq about points is baffling to me.

You know that Phoebe Ascension is a transfer after Blacktide became the number 1 server right ? Wow some people are getting hook line and sinker in this thread.

That is the problem with most servers that are 1 for a period of time. You get a lot of crap solo people jump on board and follow the guilds around to jump on the karma train. We have solo brainless people everywhere now it seems in EB were averaging a new commander every hour.

I think the next matchup realistically in this period which seems weak for Blacktide. Red Guard will most likely gun down SFR top guilds i doubt points are gonna interest us that much.

I usually fight against the odds you mention and more often than not win… other guys might be low, randoms or just bad though but still head on can win vs numbers.

4 vs 20+ in the open is maybe one of the best in terms of numbers difference… (ne supply camp killing their siege + players) they was trebbing hills

9 vs 60+ in a keep defence (which is a bit different) was garrison lolz

and another one which was pretty good was when a mega zerg jumped my guild group on reset (was attacking lake gate) didnt even see them coming around the corner they hit us hard 40-60 vs 18 and only lost one guy.

Now all the above fights aint got any evidence as I dont run fraps, others in my guild sometimes run fraps, but the unexpected fights you dont really leave fraps on as you will fill up hard drive pretty fast. The fights mentioned was before culling got worse… but still killed mega blob with the latest culling issues just its alot harder for obvious reasons.

On a serious note would be awesome if Piken could hit tier 1 be some good clunge there thats for sure. Friday should be good action SFR and good ol’ OSC should be mouth watering.

This change enforces being in a massive zerg and basically shafts small/guild organized groups. The zerg should be the ones getting shafted not the people that roam in smaller groups/guild groups. Wow Arenanet good job once again. I would like to see what good smallscale guilds (5 mans) think of this change. This is a potential game ender. It was fine as it was there was no need to change it. What you should of changed is to make the combo fields effect everyone and not 5 targets. That would of been good instead of this crap. Or better yet get an engine where you can see everyone without culling.
